Ekiti Guber Contest: Hit Men attempt Fayemi, Bamidele, others life

There was pandemonium at the APC secretariat, Ajilosun Ado Ekiti this evening, where an attempted assassination was made on the life of the governorship candidate of the APC, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and other accompanied VIPs.

Some of the VIPs included the Governor of Ondo State Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu SAN, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, Hon. Michael Bamidele and Chief Bisi Egbeyemi who where standing beside Fayemi when he was addressing a mamonth crowd of supporters that had gathered to welcome him to Ado Ekiti.

According to an eye witness, who does not want his name in print, a mobile police personnel was seen aiming at the governorship candidate while he was making an address on the balcony of the party secretariat. Sporadic gun shots were fired, MOB was hit so also were three others.
Report also said there were one fatality.

Earlier, Governor Ayodele Fayose had made spirited attempts to scuttle today's welcome rally. He had used the state controlled media to issue inflammatory statement to threaten the person of Dr. Kayode Fayemi and his supporters.
