Predator

The arrival of the night
sends shivers down my spine.
There is a storm that creeps in
and sit at the corners of my eyesight.
Like a predator watching it's prey
mocking my fragility
and bragging about it's strength.
War is not an option,
but neither is peace
as I fear the extent of casualties
So I wait for the dawn
when monotony takes over the mind
till I meet myself again
at the arrival of night
