Weekly Updates: SP Delegation and NewbieResteemDay
Dear All,
As many of you know, last week was very fruitful one for me as I could keep the faith of @fulltimegeek with my curation activities and helping the Steemians with the SP delegated to me by him and earn additional SP from @fulltimegeek.
As you also know, I am an active member of curation leagues of @abh12345 and slowly but steadily increasing the interactions with other members of #stewardsofgondor and other Steemians.
Update 1
Now, as I have earned a reasonable SP of my own, I want to follow in the footsteps of @fulltimegeek, @wwf, @goldendawne, @carlgnash and other #stewardsofgondor by delegating my SP to 2 deserving Steemians @funkylove and @newbieresteemday.
Let's call these 2 as #CoolStewards and here is a brief introduction about them.
By now, many of the SOG's already know about @funkylove.
Her comments are always inspirational and to the point and she is also a good writer.
Per latest discussion with her, she couldn't respond to the comments or provide her own comments because the bandwidth for her got reduced and she wasn't in a position to post comments because of these issues.
I am hoping that this small delegation of 200 SP will enable her to keep posting those encouraging comments and also enable her to provide her support with votes having some reasonable value to the deserving posts.
@newbieresteemday is a fresh account intended for usage of a curation trail as part of the initiative started by @beeyou, @amariespeaks, @davemccoy and a group of other amazing Steemians who want to provide guidance, conduct games and share their love by rewarding the posts by new joinees with an aim of encouraging them and making them comfortable on Steemit platform.
I am very happy to support this curation account which will only upvote the well deserved posts of new joinees posts postsed using #newbieresteemday tag and those posts will be verified manually by a designated Steemian(designated by group of @beeyou, @davemccoy, @amariespeaks and others) and that person will also act as a curator.
Now, I would also like to bring it to your attention that, we have setup the curation trail with name NewbieResteemDay on steemauto.com and urge those of you who are on steemauto.com to join the curation trail with whatever percentage of vote you want to provide which will be a big boost for the new joinees.
Here I confirm that the SP delegation has been done to these 2 Steemit Users.
Update 2:
The second exciting thing I want to share is about the #newbieresteemday, about which I have provided some information above already.
So, this is something unique and an initiative from almost new joinees for the new joinees. This bunch of Steemians are spending their time to guide the new joinees on the posts, commenting and also conducting contests along with having couple of our stewards @goldendawne and @abh12345 helping them with whatever is required from them.
@goldendawne also conducts a question answer session under the name Dear Dawne and @abh12345 is one of the sponsors.
All the above information I mentioned is possible because of the delegation from @fulltimegeek, Thank you.
This is a great move from you, I love the spirit of the #stewardofgondo, you guys are paying it forward, thanks to @fulltimegeek, the stewards are following his steps.
The two accounts deserve the delegation, this will help achieve more inspirational comments and also support newbies.
As a promoter my passion is to see newbies remain active on the steem blockchain, @newbieresteemday will help keep many active on the steemit blockchain. I hope to join in giving out delegations to support other accounts once i get enough SP.

Am so excited to be one of the beneficiaries of your delegated Steem Power. Am still surprised and I never knew someone will care enough to feel what some people are passing through in this community and willing to help. I never thought I will be able to continue strong in steemit community due to the challenges I had with my bandwidth weeks ago. I was frustrated as I couldn't do anything but you just saved me out of my frustration through this delegation. Am much appreciated.
I also want to appreciate you for the delegation to @newbieresteemday. Though I just got to know about #newbieresteemday through this post but I know is a combined efforts to help the newbies that struggled hard before their voice could be heard in this community and also is a way of given back to the community.
You are really a role model steemian and you are committed to keeping this community growing.
I can't forget to appreciate @fulltimegeek for open the door to this in the first place.
Though am not a human without flaw but I promised to always doing my own part and use the delegated Steem Power wisely while also putting smiles on the face of steemians.

Hi @funkylove its nice to meet you! I agree with you on @coolguy123, he is a role model and also a great teacher! (and also a good judge of talent since he picked you and I'm involved with #newbieresteemday too) ;) jk!
Seriously the way in which @fulltimegeek set up so many to feel the way "we" do today, is a testiment to both his kindness and also to his wisdom. He has trained @coolguy123 to use his "power" to help the community, and now it is our turn to receive that message and then carry it forward to the next group of steemians.
While we both still have a long way to go to really make a difference, I'm sure you would agree with me that we are now a small part of something special. @coolguy123's generosity and his belief in us is something special.
I would like for us to work together in the future on ideas that are mutually beneficial. To me it would be even better for @coolguy123 to see both of his awardees use this moment as a springboard forward. I've learned in steemit that working together and helping each other is the best way to grow for all. We each have talents and abilities, and if we share, then both succeed

I'm sure he is proud of what you all do. It is very impressive. The funny thing is I don't even think you guys have a rulebook... :) ... The reason why that's cool is that every one of you make your decisions with various backgrounds and even cultures. But you still get to the same place of giving, because he designed his program with a purpose.
Frankly I think it is fascinating and extremely motivating for those that take the time to understand it. Its teaching others (in a subtle way) that they will do better when they build up the people around them, and actually care that they make their community a better place to be. Its how I wish the real world worked and its no wonder that people are flocking to it in record numbers.
And I'm looking foward to working with @funkylove and finding creative ways to help her grow and to further build our network of "cool guys" (and gals) ;)

Yes, you are right. Somehow @fulltimegeek keeps an eye on all his stewards and observes us either thru the report cards of @abh12345 or thru his own analysis.
We don't have any particular set of rules, but we have tried to follow all the positive outcomes as part of the weekly reports findings or curation related findings and that is giving us good result and the credit goes to @fulltimegeek and @abh12345 for helping all the #stewardsofgondor improve themselves.
Let's use #coolstewards instead of #coolsteward to better track the Cool Stewards efforts and to identify any improvement points if any on a weekly basis.

We have been interacting since my earlier posts of daily blog on Birthdays of Famous People and I like the way you provide your comments and the way you spend time on reading the posts and providing positive feedback.
So, as the interactions increased and I got to know about you and I made my mind that if at all I get a chance to delegate some SP, it will be you.
Some of your posts I read are inspirational and since you reward the good posts with your little vote, I felt I should makethis delegation to you to enable you with a little extra power to reward the posts.
I am sure it will be fun and inspiring as we start to work together and we need to continue to payback to @fulltimegeek and Steemit by continuing the work we are doing and I am sure you will join me in doing that as a #CoolSteward and #StewardsOfGondor.

What is so nice about this, is that when you're new and feeling lost the founders of the tag and initiative will always be there. As you move on with steemit, new steemians are coming in. SO this is a nice revolving door event; which is probably why I was drawn to it so much.

I am again amazed by the support of the Stewards. Thank you @coolguy123, for your faith in the #newbieresteemday community. Your sponsorship is truly appreciative and I know our community will use the delegated SP to further support the newbies as they come onboard. I’m just a fellow “busy bee” of the group, but I will be sure to keep an eye on @davemccoy! 😉
The curation trail will be important to get our newbies recognition for their quality post/contribution to Steemit. Many newbies starting out are still finding their “groove”. They have yet to establish their identity on here. We hope to support their growth when they do discover their niche. Also important is attracting intellectuals onto the Steemit platform. Working professionals don’t have the time to come on Steemit all day. They especially don’t have time to learn the ecosystem of the Steemit world. If they do try us out, the 4-6 hours taken to write a quality post might only receive a 0.05 payout.
What incentive is there for them to stay? If we are lucky to attract intellectuals onto this platform, we have to be a supporting system to them so they stay onboard and help add value to Steemit. Being a working professional myself, I am only able to sneak in a few hours here and there for Steemit. I don’t have much time to write a “quality” post, but I stay because I love interacting with the people on here. We have to build a support system for all walks of life as they join the Steemit world.
The individuals I’ve met in both the #newbieresteemday and #stewardsofgondor communities have such great hearts. For myself, I’m here to learn but I am also here because of the wonderful people I’ve met so far. Our goal as a community is to welcome newcomers on here the right way. Not everyone may be a talented writer or artist, and that’s okay. Along with the curation trail, we hope to host contests that will foster participation and engagement with our newbies. Help all newbies find their “groove”. No one should feel like a lone red fish in this vast sea of Steemit.

Thank you @beeyou. The moment I had a discussion with @davemccoy, I made up my mind that I have found my second delegatee.
It's really nice the way you guys have started something for the new joinees and since this will be a ongoing process as there will be new joiners every day, there is a greater responsibility on the team to find good authors among new joiners and provide our support by mentoring, rewarding them.
I am sure this small delegation will enable the team to provide those tiny votes to show our appreciation to newbies to encourage them and make them feel comfortable in their journey on Steemit.
I think Dave is someone who will fit in any role because of command on words and his softness in discussing something and the way he interacts with people. Glad to know about him, about you and the whole team of #newbieresteemday including @amariespeaks and @mudcat36.

The #newbieresteemday deserves this delegation to have more power to help new joiners.
Yes, we need to use the voting power of @newbieresteemday wisely by reduced VP to reach more people but yet provide some meaningful amount of reward.
We also need to spread the news about curation trail by creating posts/including a message on our discord channel and in any other ways possible.
There are many such groups which are already doing such activities to support new joiners, we need to go that extra step and have this curation trail grow and provide more support for newbies.

I take your guidance and will run with it. I agree completely and I'm glad you showed me another way to "reach" people... I believe that many people would give and help, if they just found a way that they were comfortable with.
