Steem Wars: The Saga so Far
First the good news: the RETARDIS had earned Dr. Muxx enough air/time miles to redeem for a hypersonic pencil. The bad news: it's useless without the hypersonic sketchpad - it just rips through the spacetime of standard sketchpads. Sigh. Still, he was happy he could show something from the reward scheme. The Interdimensional union of TimelordS (TITS) was finally going to have to eat their hats after a millennium of waiting.
The Steem asked a lot of the good doctor. He had done his best to recruit suitable candidates for a secret mission that he himself did not yet fully understand, but you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy as those that answered the call.
Galacdictator Tangle (@tanglebranch) and her motley crew were to to visit the Spleen system and investigate a time-space-interface anomaly, which was interfering with Strawberro 9's atmosphere. The Galacdictator instead placed an order with Ikazon for a crate of wine. Her Excellency received a box of robot parts by mistake.
Her minion, dark Underlord Negavader (@negativer), was sent to investigate Strawberro 9 and attempt to reassemble the curious droid Sixty-Wine (@caleblailmusik). Dr. Muxx saw the Steem at play, foretelling the introduction of another character who has so far done bugger all. The Undieslord Negavader discovered that the anomaly was caused by huge, bouncing, fleshy...lady bumps. He beamed down to the surface and was promptly shot at by Byepeex Reist-Stoomtrooper Destroyer (@jasonbu).
A finely sculpted specimen of a dude, Byepeex Reist-Stoomtrooper Destroyer says it best in his own words:
But oh, so not like me. Me and my finely sculpted warrior bod. I could squish him with my butt cheeks.
Ahem. Quite.
Upon learning of the humongous spacebewbs in orbit, Galacpotato Tangle formulated plans to conquer the populace of Strawberro 9.
Captain Constants Trickle (@rhondak) reluctantly answered Dr. Muxx's call. She owed him. BIG TIME. Details will be brushed over...for now. She assembled her crew of misfits. Their mission was as follows: visit Whoopass 5 and meet with a delegation of Xripaq leaders. The Steem does not know why, but it is vital to our survival.
Princess Katle'a (@katrina-ariel) literally streaked through the galaxy on her way to rendezvous with the good Captain Trickle. Once he'd had a cold shower, Dr. Muxx continued reading...
Randel Tolp (@gnomed0) interviewed himself on board the Dronefly. He may or not be the ship's medic, but he definitely likes a burger.
The rest of the crew is yet to show up as they have been on an expedition to the planet 10-S-E. Alcohol, Dr. Muxx is assured, was NOT consumed.
Rogue Geeks... please deliver 235 pints of Ungbug milk to the capital city of Spewm F4F. Keep it above 93.6f...for your own sakes...
Carn Tusk (@carn) sensibly remembered the HUGE favor Dr. Muxx performed for the Geeks. Even more sensibly, he realised that Dr. Muxx could go back in time and undo said favor. The tusked one also fell off his chair.
Kar Annihilus (@raiserxn) actually got off his butt and did Muxx's bidding, travelling to the Snore-lak cavern to brave an encounter with the Ungbug Queen and relieve her of some milk.
With the milk safely on board Fertherder (@xanderslee) recounted an exciting pirate attack on his ship. Dr. Muxx was nonplussed however, so long as the milk was fine. Speaking of which...
It fell to Kar Annihilus to deliver the precious milk cargo to Dr. Muxx's summer home on Spewm. The good doctor's warning to keep its temperature above 93.6F had gone ignored, naturally. Time travel is a fun yet complex thing. Had he realised he would not in the future have not been at home Dr. Muxx could have travelled forward and told himself to be in. Alas, his future past self ignored all messages, resulting in the destruction of his summer home. Sigh.
Crew of the RS Flying Wardrobe. A closing down sale is about to start in the Zzzzzzqqww quadrant. Fill your ship with bargains and await further orders. Or. Bad. Things. Will. Happen.
R2-BEX2 (@bex-dk) reluctantly set course for the planet Libris to pick up another crew member, simulating sighs along the way and doing her/its best to stop Seven O'Data (@Idenkcall) and Zombie (@thinknzombie) from devouring the ship's stock of brains. This was depleting at an alarming rate.
The Steemiverse: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Reader Ship Flying Wardrobe. Its mission: to seek quality content in the Stream of Steem. To curate unknown writers. To boldly upvote posts no man has upvoted before!
The mystery of the missing brains was solved when Tiny the Tall Space Witch (@tinypaleokitchen) and her flatulent companion Liam were discovered as stowaways on board the R.S. Flying Wardrobe.
The first week of the Steem Wars Saga has been riveting, funny, and all in all much fun to organize. Next week will be even better, Dr. Muxx has come back from seven days time chuckling his head off. New missions will go out on The Writers' Block Discord server if and when current missions have been completed. If you want to take part, get your butts onto Discord and ask for the #steemwars
role for access to the relevant channels.
@jonknight has compiled all stories on steemshelves.com HERE for your reading pleasure.
Until next week, may the Steem be with you.
Will YOU answer the call? Steem Wars is a community-wide event to encourage writing, mutual support, and blockchain interactions. Who knows, perhaps a friendship or two might form. Anybody can take part, form crews or go it solo. Not a writer? No problem. Artists and poets depicting Steem Wars stories are welcome to join in too. Visit The Writers' Block Discord server and ask for access to Steem Wars. And above all, remember to have fun! There are no rules, any sci-fi franchise can be 'appropriated' and mashed up, although please make them parodies rather than fan fiction. See the original proposal for Steem Wars here.

I heard it through the grapevine that Trickle and her crew are sleeping off a bender and will assemble to discuss further action as soon as they stop seeing triple.
The upside of seeing triple is that you can write a complete story in a third of the time.
What? No? That's not how it works? Oh.
Maybe ask @sircork . At one point he was seeing triple in Nashville. LOLOLOL!
Oh, my head... time for some hair of the porgs ... anyone have a dart?... cough, cough... crap wookie hair?... oh, um don't remember at all. Who's bed is this? look's over to the mound of blankets slowly rising and falling - pulls back the covers... ... oh, ... Chewbacca?
Who DO IT SHOOT!
-Pex or maybe the Beast (this morning)
The princess is not seeing triple, but still recovering from much fun and not enough sleep. Also, she has two flights to take on Weds, so her next chapter might have to wait until she's had a sleep or two in her own bed.
Lots of laughter reading these Steem Wars chapters! Thanks for organizing, Time Lord. Careful with that hypersonic pencil, eh?

Nice roundup here, Time Lord. Our mission is near completion and we anxiously await signs of life from our disassembled robot partner. Following that, we will be requesting a new mission. Hopefully one with less boobs in it this time.
Oh wait. Nevermind that last part. I'm stuck with my partners.
