We would like to see that too, awesome idea. @steemvoter is not affiliated to Steemit.com however and we don't have any influence over the implimentation of such a feature on Steemit.
If the whales were smart they'd finance the referral commissions and would reap the rewards of far more rapid growth.
Another good idea, community sponsored referrals!
