FAQs for The SteemIt Decathlon Contest, where the Steem Community Competes for Recognition!

The Steem Decathlon is a multi-discipline Contest for the whole Steem community

1. The rules are evolving and open to change.

2. At most there will be no more then 5% taken from the reward pool for administration taken by RichAtVNS for any event or the overall leaderboard prize pool.

3. Each type of event has a split of the prize pool and points. More involved contests have more points.
   

4. There are 3 leader boards each will keep track of your points based on your actions.

5. If you do not adhere to all the rules of an event and follow all the steps, you will not receive points or the reward.

6. If you cheat, are belligerent to other, plagiarize, spam or do a whole host of other unseemly things depending on the severity I will decide whether you will be given a warning, temporary suspension or disallowed from participation in the present events and any future events.
   If you are Suspended and were to receive rewards for that event you will be removed from your place in the rewards for that event and all entries placing below you will be moved up.

7. Since at the present time I speak only english, writing submissions must be in english....In the future if I get multilinqual Judges we will open it ope to other languages.

8. Bounty to catch Plagerizers if you catch someone who plagiarized there entry you will get a bounty equivalent to 10% of theives reward had they placed.

9. There will be at least 3 events each day.
   There are 5 categories to participate in and earn points

• Quickshot (will be every day) - a short term (24 hour) creative contest
• I'm up for it (will be every day) - set of tasks non-competitive requiring not requiring creativity.
• Come on Baby Needs a new pair of Shoes! - a non-creative competition lasting 1 to5 days
• Deep in the Weeds (will be every day) - a creative competitionopen for 1 week
• The Beatle's Help! (for those helping with running the competition)

10. The points (there are 2 classes of points: Participation points - every category lets people earn these points Competition points - only QuickShot, Come On Baby Needs A new pair of Shoes, and Deep in the Weeds can win these points

11. How points are calculated.

IF IT IS A MULTI-DAY EVENT OR PURE LUCK ALL POINTS may be multiplied by a constant as defined in the rules of that event!

• Participation Points are given to individuals accomplishing the tasks in the category they are participating in. Everyone participating will get the same base points, If it is a task that you can do multiple times verifiable during the event time period you will earn additional points up until any cap the rules that event might have.

• Competition points are given to the top performers, the more participants the larger the top performer base is.
  1st place gets 4 * (no of entries)
  2nd Place gets 3 * (no of entries)
  3rd Place gets 2 * (no of entries)
  4th Place through remaining top 30% each get the following points rounded up to the next whole number
  (no. of entries)*( (no of entries *.3) - position)+1/(no of entries * .3)

12. The Leader Boards,
There will be 3 Leader boards will run during the course of the Decathlon to tract all participants event's points.
* Overall points from event finishes. (combination of participation and competition points)
* Participation Quantity List. (participation points only)
* Contributors List participation points only from "The Beatle's Help!" events

13.Rewards for Each Event
Whether I am a judge or not every event will have me upvote specific entries that I deem worthy... They are not necessarilty going to be the winners just those that I thought put in the effort!
The Reward Pool For individual events will be 80% of the steem/sbd that the particular challenge/post involved earned, minus the 25% or so that goes to curation.
Receive special medallion stickers on their blog post entry.
If it is a sponsored event some real world physical rewards (more on this to come)

14.Rewards for finishing at the top of Leaderboard
The Overall points Leaders gets:

• The split of Reward Pool which will be up of 10% of the steem/sbd from each of the Competative Event
  particular challenge/post involved earned, minus the 25% or so that goes to curation.
• Special medallion stickers to display on their blog post entry.
• There name on on the site associated with contest (coming shortly)
• If it is a sponsored event some real world physical rewards (more on this to come).

Participation Quantity List Leaders get:

• The split of Reward Pool which will be up of 10% of the steem/sbd from each of the Partition Event
  particular challenge/post involved earned, minus the 25% or so that goes to curation.
• Special medallion stickers to display on their blog post entry.
• There name on leaderboard list on the site associated with contest (coming shortly)

Those appearing on the Contributors List get

• The split of Reward Pool based on their percentage of all points of the board which will be up of 5% of the steem/sbd all Events
• Special medallion stickers to display on their blog post entry.
• There name on site thanking them for their contributions
• If it is a sponsored event some real world physical rewards (more on this to come).

1. I live in New York, All times will be EST (Eastern Time Zone)
   
   If you run a contest, program,can act as a judge, do web design, want to make logos or award designs, can delegate some steam power, can help organizing our brand of curation or want to sponsor an event.
