Amazing & Weird Exoplanets #2

in #steemstem7 years ago

Hey everyone and welcome back to the world of Exoplanets. This is the part 2 of my mini series of post about Amazing and Weird Exoplanets that have been found! By now we have seen an exoplanet with very high temperature, one with extremely low and one with 2 suns. In case you haven't checked it and you want to click HERE

So let's start with today's list:

 HD 189733b (Glass Storm)

Just by looking at it you may say ''what a beautiful blue planet i wish i would live there'' and then you be dead! This 63 light years away exoplanet is one of a kind. First of all you can pretty much say that Glass Storm is a deadly exoplanet and you can have more than 1 way to die here. Above everything it's the atmosphere but let's say we skip that and go to lvl2. This exoplanet has winds 7 times the speed of sound about 2km/s but then again let's be optimists and say you survive this too, now all that's left is lvl3. If by any chance you see clouds ''run forest run'' as the clouds produce molten glass which becomes harden glass as it falls and with the 2km/s wind it slices up everything!

If you have someone you hate send him there!

CoRoT-7b (Rock Storm)

Let's stay in the deadly atmosphere i created back there and continue our journey with another killer exoplanet. CoRoT-7b discovered back in 2009 and was considered the hottest planet ever found ( Later Hotty won over him) and it is 489 light years away. Because it's too close to his sun the temperature is extremely high and is covered with lava. Scientists said that it probably was just a gas planet but because it's closer to his sun this happened.

To make matters worse the lava is evaporating just as our water and if you think about it you may know what happens next. Just like water forms rainy clouds lava forms rocky clouds that rain rocks to the cooler part of the planet and magma in the hotter.

TrES-2b (Darker than Black)

We gonna close the today's killing topic with complete Darkness. TrES-2b discovered at August 2006 and thank god is 750 light years away. This exoplanet is so damn unique cause it's reflecting less than 1% of the light that hits it and because of that scientists are so amazed they found out about this planet. if you think about it the chances to find a planet like this is close to 0! The scientists also in an attempt to give us some answers about what is really happening with that planet, believe that contains gases that absorb light and radiation like potassium, vaporized sodium and titanium oxide. The exoplanet is literally Darker than Black beating black inc and coal!

So that's all for today. I hope you find it intresting and let me know in the comments if you knew about any of these exoplanets and your thoughts about those mentioned. See you all soon!

this is a very useful science friend :)
I want to ask, is there still many planets that we do not know in the sky there? :)

oh yes way too many planets out there!

no object moves faster than light but space can go faster.
i heard a scientist say something like this. (might've been lawrence krauss i'm not too sure)

that's true and i think at 2011 an attempt to find something faster than light failed too

Glass Storm looks really amazing! I didn't know there was something like it. I'm yet to get something... Is it glass like the glass on earth?
Rainstorm Glassstorm... I wonder if aliens live on it. I'm just wowed!

yes it's the same glass we have here at least that's what scientists believe we don't have any samples yet. Thankfully allies don't live in them :P but there are too many planets out there as many as the possibilities!

Wow... Nature is beautiful.

Very interesting stuff - Glass Storm sounds like a fun place to vacation. In VR 😂

i haven't thought about that! it would be really interesting especially in vr game as you mentioned with all the weird exoplanets! i bet everyone would be scared at some point :)!

hahaha loved your writing my friend. I am not so much interested in planets but they way you present the info is entertaining and funny. Make learning way more fun even if it is not something your not interested in. I wish all teachers in the school are like this.

I am sure kids would actually learn more by having fun with it. :)

But let's be an optimist even if you can survive the winds be ready to get your running shoes if you ever see a cloud. Run Forest Run. lol

Great post, I truly did enjoy reading it. :)

haha thanks for your comment! i am not a fan of the planets either but i like the weird ones, it reminds me all the cartoon and movies i have seen and i feel excited when i found out some of them are truly exist! as you observer ( and thanks for that) i try to described them in a funnier way as i know it may be kinda of a boring matter :)

In general schools must provide as you said too a more fun learning method for at least the young age

The pleasure was all mine as I still imagining myself trying to hold on something with those winds and than I just see a killer cloud coming my way and I would rather let go and with the wind. lol hahah. :)

Something like a cartoon character.. lol

Thank you for the laugh. :)

I believe life is only one place at a time.

That's why time travel is so difficult. Even if we see other exo planets like ours, they are beyond our reach :(

i tend to have the exact opposite opinion. i think in the vast universe life is surely exists but not in the same way we imagine and as far as it concerns the exo planet probably we won't reach them in 4-5 years maybe not even in 10-15 but it will happen someday!

Very interesting post! I love all these incredible planets we are just finding out about. It even inspired me last year to make a painting about Trappist-1. Really mindblowing stuff. Thank you for sharing!

thanks a lot for your comment. Indeed planets and in general the universe can be a great form of inspiration!

I would definitely would like to fly and live on TrES-2b

haha to build your base and start ruling the world from the dark planet :P
