Silver Dollars are great to stack

There are three major US Silver Dollar Coins: Seated Liberty Silver Dollar, Morgan Silver Dollar, Peace Silver Dollar.

Why stack in Silver Dollars?

The United States Mint no longer strikes true silver dollars. While various coins with a silver appearance have been struck over the years, only the coins mentioned above are true silver dollars. Each one contained a true silver content of .900 silver. Known as 90% silver coins, these products are popular as an entry-level investment option for those looking to buy silver at affordable prices. Previously circulated silver dollars have signs of wear and tear from handling, but still hold investment value due to the .900 silver content. Additionally, rare pieces from these series that earn certification from the NGC or PCGS are ideal additions to any personal coin collection as a living piece of US coining history.

The Peace Silver Dollar is my favorite of the three US Silver Dollars.

Seldom has a coin inspired such public interest as the United States Peace Dollar. Peace Dollars were produced at a time of great patriotism following World War I, and today, they are keepsakes of one of America’s greatest triumphs in the pursuit of liberty. They also hold the unique distinction of being the last silver dollar struck for general circulation in the United States.

Whenever I can, I pick up a US Silver Dollar or two, Peace Dollars in particular. I have 33 Peace Dollars so far from the start of the year.

Perhaps I will have three tubes filled by the end of the year.

Slow and steady wins the race!

Such a beautiful collection so far... made me all tingly :) I've completely fallen in love with these dollars- and if I could collect no other silver than these three coins, I'd be happy! Keep on collecting my friend! Evie xx

Hello, my friend @eveningart! I just came back from being away on a trip for weeks! I was so happy to see that you have joined steemsilvergold! I will post a video that I did a couple of years ago of my first year stack, as my way of welcoming you to the stacking community. Keep stacking my friend!!!

Cool, How many dollars fill a tube? I got nine Peace dollars so far and I forget how many Morgans I have.

So eleven more Peace Dollars to make a tube! But I got to get the tube first. Thx @stokjockey

Talk about an absolutely gorgeous store of value! Peace dollars are a great compliment to the ASE’s you collect.
I totally dig your stacking philosophy saver! Just not so disciplined myself 😎👍👍

US Silver Dollars are absolutely coins to stack, along with other Constitutional coins. If only I had more discipline, I'd be stacking only ASE, Constitutional silver and fractional gold coins. I truly believe that stacking silver and gold coins is the best way to go if one wants to stack in better value. Just my personal opinion. I'd be good just with these ones, except that there is not a day that passes that I am not attracted to hand-poured and vintage generic rounds and bars. Dang, I just got me some hand-pours yesterday. I am so frustrated with myself, @thedamus!!!!

Sounds like good problems to have saver 😻👍

Looking good @silversaver888! 3 tubes should be doable by years end for sure. Good to see you back! I've slacking bad over here lately.

I think that it doesn't matter how much you accumulate every month. I am okay for as long as I am able to convert fiat to silver... even if it is just $1.00 face of 90% silver. For me to complete three rolls by the end of the year, I've got to buy an average of 5 Peace Dollars a month. It may be a bit hard for me to do it since I continue to work on my monthly ASE and fractional gold goals. I appreciate the encouragement!!! You will be the first to know if I do make my Peace Dollar Tubular goal.

I have faith that you can do it Saver!

Awww... thanks for your vote of confidence!

Nice Post @silversaver888! 💸💲💰🤑💰💲💸❣
I was gonna say that you forgot the IKEs but it was mostly a clad coin, then some 40% and very few 90% Silver Versions. I went on a Flea-Bay spree a couple of years ago and got some Silver Ikes. They are the same size, 38mm, as the older Silver Dollars. The people back then reportedly called them "wagon wheels" due to the immense size. They are bigger than any prior (or later) US circulating coin. I have a lot of Morgan and Peace dollars, but no "Seated Liberty" as far as I know. I should get tubes like you have, that is a great idea! Do those hold 20 coins? 😎

You are right, there are Ike Dollars that are of 40% silver, but was not meant for and never used in circulation. The ones being circulated are clad, and whenever I remember, I ask for the teller to give me whatever they have. I love the Ike Dollars. Thus many do not consider it a "true US SILVER Dollar", and only the three (Seated Liberty, Morgan and Peace Dollar) are. BTW, I have a collection of the Eisenhower Dollars 1971-1978. Check it out, @underground!

OK!

I should send you a 90% IKE so you will believe me

😇🤑

I never knew there was a seated liberty silver dollar. I like the looks of them, but it looks like they are a little out of my price range. Haha!

I agree. The Morgans and Peace dollar are some of my favorite coins to look at by far.

hehehe, the Seated Liberty Silver Dollars are truly expensive! They are so scarce. I think that if one wants US Silver Dollars for stacking purposes, the Morgans and Peace Dollars are best! Thnaks for stopping by my friend, @knowledge-seeker. Have a great steemit day!

Those are what I call U.S. Collector Coinage... We will also have U.S. Crypto Coinage, U.S. Paper Coinage and U.S. Clad Coinage, that will all be "backed" by U.S. Bullion Coinage... Face Value for Face Value...
June 25, 2019...

There are US silver coinage, and US gold coinage, then US clad coinage. I prefer the intrinsic values of silver and gold coinage to clad and/or paper medium of exchange, which has the least intrinsic value of all.

That’s why we will have plenty of choices... If you choose to spend Silver and Gold Coinage, I’m perfectly fine with that...

Hehehe, I don't spend my silver and gold coinage, I save them! I spend my US paper fiat that has no intrinsic to buy silver and gold coinage to save. I convert paper fiat currency into coinage that hasreal value, thus it is an effective store of wealth for me. I do have a lot of pocket clad coinage too, which I don't carry around. Whenever I receive change in clad coins, I throw them into a big jar! When that is full, I might have enough to convert them into gold, LOL! Have a great day, my friend @pocketchange.

Try to hold onto your jar of U.S. Clad Coinage until after the Reset... We’re very close... You won’t believe how much more Silver you’ll be able to get...

Let me do just that! Have a great day, @pocketchange.

@silversaver888 fantastic tubes my friend!! Have to say I love the story of the Peace Dollar but my favorite would be a Carson City Morgan. Thanks for sharing my friend!!

I love all three US Silver Dollars. And I must stack Morgan Dollars too. Perhaps next year! Have a great evening, my friend @dwingsworld!

I Really Like What @silversaver888 has to say about Slow and Steady Wins the Race. This is the time to Cost Average as you can and Don't Worry Silver will Take care of itself. I am Bullish !

Me, too! I am always bullish with precious metals. I really do not worry much about spot prices.

It will take care of itself. A lot of People will wonder why they did not get some, after the Move......
