A Little Vintage Silver Candy....

Afternoon everyone....

Today I am going to share with you a very nice piece of vintage silver. It is a hand poured vintage bar that I am very please to have bought when I did.

The piece is a Jackson Precious Metals ten ounce hand poured silver bar. They are long out of business, there is a rumor which I cannot confirm or deny that they were bought out by OPM which is Ohio Precious Metals.

Both companies where open for many years just miles apart, and both stayed in business for years.

So here is the bar....

Oh wow... what an awesome 10 oz bar, bestie! I am very jelly!!! But I can't get myself to buy vintage large bars, because a single purchase will use up more than what I can afford for silver and gold for the month, hahaha. CONGRATULATIONS! I enjoyed looking!!! Thanks for sharing this amazing vintage bar. Have a terrific day, bestie and take care. Lots of hugs 🥰🌺🤙

Thanks bestie. There’s only so much generic silver I can handle. I haven’t been able to buy anywhere near what my goal is, but there’s nothing I can do about it. It’s been very hectic both work and life in general. Sorry that i haven’t been commenting, i have been upvoting. Hope you daysare much better then mine.🌹

Nice slab there 510 👍

Thanks brother.🍺👍

Nice one. I'm a big fan of those old poured bars.

So am i wish i could afford more of them or had an LCS near me to find them

Nice bar! Thank you for sharing!😎

Oh so there MAY be a connection of Jackson to OPM, just not publicly official yet.

The way it was explained to me by an old timer at an LCS years ago was. Jackson had two facilities a few miles apart. The actually rented out the facility to OPM for a little bit. Then OPM bought the building and equipment from them. Some of the first bars produced by OPM were actually done by Jackson staff to show them how to use the equipment. I know they worked together on a bunch of stuff as well.

I love the finish in the bar, and cursive writing so nice!!!!
I grew up in Ohio, and I so wish I had found one of these!!😀

They were the second largest Mint at one time.

Interesting, I believe I have a few OPM ...I'm not sure if they are rounds or bars....
Thanks for the info!!😀
