SteemSilverGold a Decentralized Community: Join and Choose a Role
One of the main features that attracted me to Steemit was the fact that it claims to be a decentralized community. It only makes sense that SteemSilverGold should also strive to be a decentralized community. Furthermore, it is a fact that most silver and gold investors are more inclined towards decentralization.
Decentralized platforms or communities, when done properly, give more power to the individual to better his own situation, and that of the community or platform. It is for this reason (for example) why I now don’t like the idea of creating a whale by taking votes away from the individual SteemSilverGold members (more about this another time).
Decentralization also provides a good basis for succession or stability within the community since there is no reliance on one or a few persons.
There are also many other benefits. You just have to look at all the problems that too much centralization is causing, for example: Banking, Government, Central Exchanges, etc.
It is for these reasons (and more) that I think a decentralized structure is best for SteemSilverGold. This means no executive positions – not for me or for anyone else. My current duties are very basic and will probably not be required in the future.
This community gives any member a chance to start an initiative that could help him/her and the community to achieve its objective. For example, if you want to market the community, sell your gold or silver, market your business, or whatever, you can do so – no permission is required. So, even though I think a community created whale is not what we need (as stated before), or automatic voting, it is still fine for someone to do it – that is the beauty of a decentralized structure.
So, choose/(or create) a role or roles within the community, appoint yourself and just do it.

Makes total sence... Alot of groups get in trouble as power goes to some peoples heads and They do all the work and then feel under appreciated. all just leads to conflict and fallings out. so i think this is a good approach.

That's an interesting idea for the community, there are certainly some great things happening spontaneously already around here. Are we/you planning to drop the member lists then, or kinda just stop tracking membership? I guess it's not necessary, but I kinda liked it. Anyways it was great to hear from you.
True, that is a good way of stating it: spontaneously. It is how it has been done up to now. I will still be doing the membership list for now, in order to grow the community, and maintain some sort of awareness/visibility, until the community is more mature.
