Good day to all of you out there and I know I have been gone a while but family life called. While I was absent two very important things have occured! The first is the release of the 2019 Steem Round from #steemsilvergold designed by @edxserverus and the next is an awesome contest GENEROUSLY sponsored by @smooth!

This means @ssg-community will be giving away a total of TEN, 1oz, .9999 pure silver Steem Rounds. These rounds will be awarded to five winning entrants and their nominees! The Steem Silver Round holds value and is a wonderful souvenir of our block chain home.

I want you all to know that there are a ton of members I wanted to nominate for this contest, but I had to chose just one! I will do some honorable mentions at the end, but for now lets jump into my "Special Steemian"!

My Special Steemian has to be @silversaver888 and there are a plethora of reasons as to why she means so much! Firstly, I must say that I view @silversaver888 as extended family; she is my silver sister with so many words of encouragement and friendship in times of hardship and of excitement. Our story goes way back to about two years ago as I followed her on YouTube and I was lucky enough to have her following me on the platform as well. The first time we really connected was when I did a video discussing the first Steem Silver Round in 2017. Throughout the video I noted the new Steemit platform and how it held new opportunities and was perfect for silver stackers due to the fact I was already part of #steemsilvergold. At the end of the video, I noted that anyone interested in the platform could email me with questions. Little did I know that this would be the seed that would let a wonderful friendship and connection grow!
I will site many examples of things that make @silversaver888 deserve the 2019 Steem Round, but they really all boil down to one thing, Passion! A passion for the world around her, the communities she is part of, and for people overall! This is shown by how she came to me asking about Steemit and how it worked. I gave her guidance from the little knowledge that I had, but she took it and with a passion like a wild fire started to grow her account. This is easy to see when looking at my little account and hers that has accomplished so much on this blockchain and for its communities. She is always willing to try new things and learn from others. This is what makes her so effective not only as a friend, but on the blockchain. Her account began as a way to show off her passion for precious metals, which lead to her involvement in #steemsilvergold. In this group she consistently post about stacking and the principles she uses in order to stay focused. The shows off the beautiful pieces she has gained through her discipline and hard work. These post constantly encourage me to be better at reaching my precious metals goals, but also to keep pushing myself to evolve as a person. Even better than her reaching other stackers is the fact that her willingness to make connections with others has allowed her to spread her good will to groups like #thealliance and #ladiesofssg! These connections have allowed her to bring in new people not only to the block chain,but to the art of precious metals stacking. A prime example of this is @soyrosa, but there are several others out there that have gain a knowledge and understanding of precious metals, while @silversaver888 has become passionate about the arts and skills they have shown her. This willingness and respect for others makes the blockchain a warmer place and has encourages others to take the risk on joining one of the many communities we have!
Furthermore, @silversaver is one of the most supportive and generous souls I have ever met. She constantly willing to shower her friends in gifts without ever wanting anything in return. I was blessed with getting one of her amazing Silver Saver Bars, which is a true honor as anyone in the stacking community will tell you. On top of that she is always trying to reward people on the blockchain for the massive about of support she feels they have given her. She does this by doing contest that at times are only known to her.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this entry her passion is amazing and she is always willing to share it. The most direct and amazing way she does this is by commenting on a ton of post and responding consistently to all those that comment on hers. She never fails to give a little piece of herself to her friends building stronger and stronger connections on the blockchain. These connections are what really make the blockchain a viable platform because it makes members truly invested in it. This investment not only makes me want to stay on the block chain, but help improve it and make it grow!!
Basically, I can sum up everything I said in a pretty decent run on sentence. @silversaver888 is passionate about the blockchain, its communities, and especially its people, this passion inspires not only me but so many more to bring new people, skills, and ideas onto the blockchain allowing our crazy extending family to grow into something beautiful!! I truly hope you can understand and see why I believe she should get this round.
