Are you prepared for SteemQ ?? if not then a few basic things to get you started before its too late I Video creation guide
Hello Friends,
#SteemQ needs no introduction right? We all are so excited about its launch and yet some of us are not prepared to create video content although they have some amazing ideas ready.
Well don't worry I will tell you my story of video creation and what minimum equipment you need to get started so that you don't lag behind once the site is live .
I will make sure that you don't make the same mistakes i made as a beginner. So let's get started.
Things you need to buy, i am considering you don't want to spend a ton of money.
List of items
A DECENT CAMERA
If you have a good phone then you might use the front camera and a tripod to shoot your content.
I shoot my videos on my own thus I need to see myself. If you don't have a good phone you can use a DSLR provided its L.C.D. display can be rotated so that you can see yourself.
Nikon D5100 with adjustable L.C.D. screen.
If you have a team then you need not worry about this , then a fixed L.C.D. display will serve the purpose. I use a very basic camera Nikon D5100 and a basic Tripod.
A BACKDROP
If you have a decent looking wall then you need not worry. If you record in a room with too many stuffs lying around then you must have a backdrop.
Backdrops are available in online stores, comes pretty cheap.
I use a black backdrop and a green screen. Using a green screen is a good option since you can put your desired photo or video as a backdrop during editing.

LIGHTING EQUIPMENT
Lighting is the most important part of #videography, due to improper lighting videos may look dull and uninteresting.
My videos as a beginner (No lighting and camera mic sound)
If you wish to use sunlight then there is no alternative you might need a few reflectors to kill the shadows.
I use porta light since my room does not get proper sun light and I mostly record at night. Its always recommended to use ample number of light to eliminate shadows. At least 2 required one on the left and the other on the right. I sometimes use one light.Feel free to experiment to come up with you own ideas.
Other lighting options available are Soft box and L.E.D. lights.
AUDIO RECORDER
#Sound plays a very important role when it comes to presentation. In-Built microphones in cameras are very noisy so i avoid them.My favorite recorder is the Zoom H1.Its very affordable and has got loads of cool features like you can record either in wave or in mp3 and its got a low cut filter to keep things clean.
A room not too empty
If your room is too empty it will cause a lot of echo or reverb which your viewers might not like.I made this mistake. You can set up your recording equipment in room having furniture and stuff otherwise you can use bass traps
** Watch the following videos to understand the problems.**
Empty Room
Room with furnitute
A COMPUTER AND A VIDEO EDITING SOFTWARE
Of course you already have a computer. If you are using a P.C. then you can have options like Adobe Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas etc. or if you are using #Mac then imovie or Final Cut pro.Depending on your budget you can choose any the above.

Hey! Just read your comment on my little post on the types of currency, came over to your blog and saw this. Could you explain what steemq is for me? I haven't heard much about it but I am also planning to start making videos on steemit and this seems right up my alley!
yes i did comment. I followed you btw.
#Steemq is like youtube technically but practically its way better than youtube. You dont get copyright strikes and you get paid properly rather that others sucking up your money. Read the post then you will understand the diference .

Sounds amazing, I see Steemit as THE end all for video content creators who are looking to start small scale projects and earn the funds to move on to more ambitious goals. Do you know how long until it will be released? Look forward to seeing your videos on there!
