When I know this topic, a famous currency exchange shop is on my mind at once. Hong Kong people like to go to that currency exchange shop to exchange money before oversea travelling. Just kidding, then I seriously to think around my living area, where have the hundred years historical things! OMG, I can't find anyone of them, the city was developed so fast, the oldest shop were around 50 - 60 years old only. Suddenly I remember a photo I took at the last contest. There have a sign on the stair that show these Chinese big words - Lo Pan Private Temple!

So before my work, I decided to find that. At the last photo show you a long long stair, I climb up the hundred stair then turn left, after thirty step, I saw a huge tree at there, then the temple at the right hand side!

Quote by Conserve and Revitalise Hong Kong Heritage:

Lu Ban Xianshi is the founder of Chinese wood craftsmen. It is said that he was born in Lu State (now Shandong Province) in 507 BC. He is the most outstanding architect, carpenter and inventor in ancient China. He was built and "three elements" (three lines). Refers to the carpentry, stone and mud water industry) craftsmen dedicated to the ancestors.

In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the construction workers were popular with Luban Xianshi. In all parts of China, such as Beijing, Suzhou and Guangzhou, there were Luban Xianshi Temple. The Luban Xianshi Temple, located in Qingliantai, Kennedy Town, Hong Kong Island, was built-in 1884 (the 10th year of the Qing Dynasty) and is the only temple in Hong Kong dedicated to Luban.

There are four gods in the temple. The Luban Xianshi is located in the main hall. The left side is the God of Wealth, the right side is the old man, and the door god land is located on the right side of the first entrance door.

Lu Ban’s birthday is also known as the “master’s birthday”. Every year on the 13th day of the lunar calendar, the Hong Kong construction industry will celebrate the event and uphold the values of respecting the traditional culture.

I was so surprised, how historical value building was nearby the residential area. I didn't visit this amazing temple if not join the contest. Although the size is very tiny, the temple is also rich in architectural decoration. The roof is made of wood and covered with tiles, the patterns were including murals, Shiwan pottery and clay sculptures.

When I saw the two sentence at the temple, I can't translate to English exactly. The meaning is all the carpenter need to keep their expert skill. Detailing and preciously to finish all the job! We need to learn from the wise of ancient, nowadays all the news about the short pile and lack of material construction case made me so sad.

Moreover, I think everything is connected, if I didn't find the stair, I cannot find this temple. So nothing is useless, just do it and insist, you will get the result!

If you come to Hong Kong, I am highly recommend to visit this temple! Thank you for reading my post!
