It amazes me how villagers continue to carry the memory of a village that is almost nonexistent today. There are just a few rooted houses left and nobody lives there. But the old villagers told their history to the younger ones so when they are not among them anymore, their history could be remembered. It really is a touching tale the one you wrote. Thanks for sharing.
