Hi, I’m Aggroed. And, this is the Steem Monsters.
Steem Monsters is a collectible trading card drafting game with RPG elements built on the steem blockchain.
And I know there’s a lot to handle, so let’s go break that down.
The fact that it is built on a blockchain means that you own your cards.
You used to own your cards when they are physical, but once the game went digital, and they moved on to private databases, you no longer own them.
Here on a blockchain, it’s a public database and lots of people verify the data so you actually know that you own what you own.
So now what that means is that you can trade these card back and forth.
We have a decentralized marketplace that lets you do that. And our cards are already selling for thousands of dollars, we have thousands of players that are trading them, we have thousands of transactions.
The other thing that you can do with your cards as you can combine them or use them in fight with them in either way, your cards will gain a experiences.
As your cards get a experience, they can level up and they will grant them new skills, new abilities, or every stats of abilities.
And you gonna want a best set of cards as you can because we run tornaments.
And when we start these tornaments, there are gonna have minimum prize for of thousands dollars every single week.
So you can literally make money playing this game.
Let’s talk about how fighting is going to work. This is a drafting game. You have summoners and monsters.
The summoners will summon monsters. The monsters come in couple different classes.
You have tanks, healers, damage dealers, support, and something called assassine.
The assassine gets around the enemy tank to go kill the squishies on the back before they kill you.
Now we are starting with the monsters ans the summoners, but we are also going to add items and spells.
And of course the items and spells can level as well.
So you are gonna have this wonderful array of cards to choose from and your goal is to make the most liful team possible.
Now when it comes to the fighting, it is not actually turn by turn.
Those games are a lot of fun but they involve a lot of luck.
We want something more strategic.
So you pick your team and then there is a computer simulation that's going to determine the winner.
But it’s not an artificial intelligence. It’s based on the decision you make and your opponents make.
What games like this really thrive off of is the lore.
A thousand years ago a planet, Palama the egg is splintered because of the cataclysmic event.
Now all these different splinters are trying to figure it out how are they bring the world back together or are they fighting to keep it separate.
We did a writing contest, so this is a community driven story.
We had over hundred of people trying to build this community.
We narrowed down to 6 teams and from there we crowdsource some music crowdsource some art.
We have individual backstory that’s gonna go along with all of these cards too so as you level, it will reveal more of the backstory of your favorite characters.
Right now, we are selling the last of the alpha packs. When those are gone, you can’t buy them on the site anymore.
That’s the last of them. On top of that, during this crowdfunding campaign it is the only time you gonna be able to get these exclusive cards.
We won’t sell them ever again. This is your won opportunity.
