Steemit Ultimate Challenge Week 7: Be A Source Of Inspiration

First, I'd like to say congratulations to the winners of the Steeit Ultimate Challenge so far....
@utomobong
@josecarrasquero
@camilus
@karensuestudios
@cinderz
@biljed

Truly, the win was well deserved and fair and I sincerely congratulate you guys and hope to be part of you pretty soon.

Truth be told, when the winner of last week was announced and I realised I hadn't made it, I felt really discouraged as I didn't know if there was more to tell of my story on this platform.

I mean, I have said it all or so I thought.

I even got more discouraged when someone I consider a boss and hold highly, decided to participate in this week's entry.

It was at the verge of giving up that I decided to go through my previous entries and the wonderful feedback in form of comments I got overwhelmed me.

These are just a few of the testimonies I got from participating in the Steemit Ultimate Challenge and I thought, "What if, someone somewhere whom, at the verge of giving up on Steemit reads my story and decides to stay put?"

Although, I felt I didn't have what else to say since,

In week 4, which was when I started, I talked about "my why on this platform".
The reason I do what I do.
Check it out here:
Steemit Ultimate Challenge Week 4

In week 5, I talked about how I love helping people and how I was glad I could contribute to the discharge of a lady who had been held at the hospital due to her inability to pay her fees. My joy knew no bounds when I got the information that she finally got discharged.

In week 6, which was just last week, I felt I had said all there is to be said since I talked about my Steemit goals.

But then, reading through these testimonies/feedback brought tears of joy to my face and then I decided, and just like @dobartim would say....never give up

I decided to try again....
Hoping that my story would be a sort of inspiration to many.

If there's one thing I've learned over time in my Steemit journey, it is the art of consistency and if there's one vital thing this Steemit Ultimate Challenge has taught me, it'll be writing a 1000 word prompt consecutively.

Before now, I've always thought writing long articles will scare readers away from your blog but @dobartim had the opposite to say about this.

Even before I participated in the first challenge, I contemplated how I was ever going to come up with a 1000 word prompt but surprisingly, and beyond reasonable doubt, that has become an easy task for me.

Last week, I celebrated my 60 days on this platform and decided to write about it.

Initially, I had decided to write a very brief thank you but unfortunately, I ended up writing a very bulky thank you post and surprisingly, it attracted one of the biggest and nicest whales on this platform.

@surpassinggoogle. I got an upvote from him and even a resteem of my post and also got curated in the @teardrops curation trail.

It was something I never expected as my post which was sitting at a $0.28 suddenly jumped to $2.56. It also attracted me new followers and I couldn't be more grateful than I was.

It was just a perfect way of celebrating my 60 days here.

So far, I've learned how to be consistent.

I would have given up a long time ago when almost all my posts got nothing more than a $0.00. But I decided to stay put here and today, it's paying off.

Though, I don't get $100 on my posts but at least, I don't get $0.00 anymore which is an achievement if you ask me.

I'm really glad Steemit came to my life when I needed it the most.

I love being independent which is why, when I was in school, I had to fend for myself by making pastries to ensure I cater for myself. I struggled so hard. Had to juggle between attending lectures, reading and being a caterer.

I never wanted any of my siblings to go through what I went through and I'm glad Steemit made it possible.

My sisters, who are in school, complained that their standing fan was bad and they needed a new one.
I was able to effortlessly send them money to get a new one which actually made them so happy.

Steemit has actually been a source of joy to me as I am finally going to be able to change my phone.

I've been using this old phone for a long time which had always been giving me problems but I had to manage it since I didn't have sufficient funds to get a new one.

But thanks to Steemit, I placed an order for a new phone last week and I'm so happy it's coming in this week.

I've gained value as well as added value to this platform and I'm glad I'm a Steemian.
One of my visions on this platform is adding value to the lives of other Steemians and I'm glad, so far, I have.

One thing that has always kept me here is patience which I shared in my 60 days celebration and appreciation. Yes You Can.

I talked about the virtue of consistency and patience.

If there's one thing that has kept me thus far on Steemit, it is my patience and consistency.

Whatever you are doing, do it with all zest and diligence.

You never know when it will pay off but it surely would.

A very big thank you to @dobartim for this opportunity to share our Steemit Success Story here.
