Steemit talent Contest: The Mountain Road
This is one of my ALL-TIME-FAVORITE Irish reels!! Omg. I learned this one when I was playing with a Celtic band during my college days (“The Wild Colonials”), and I was hooked. 🙃 When I first learned it, the abstract said it was from the playing of Irish fiddler Michael Goreman, and at first I thought it was a typo — because there’s a very famous fiddler by the name of Michael Coleman — but further inspection proved that yes, there was a Michael Goreman waaaayyy back in the day.
So. The Mountain Road. Love it. ❤️
(Performed on my Susato Irish tinwhistle.)

Heeey!!! It sounds really nice! I loved it! I also play the flute, but I've never had the opportunity to have one of those in my hands.
Thank you! Tinwhistles (or pennywhistles as they are sometimes called) are a LOT of fun. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
Your very talented Heather!
Thank you!
