POETRY | DAY 19 | Forgotten Memory
Forgotten Memory, poetry by @naquoya.
Day 19 of 100 for @d-pend's Poetry Challenge
Forgotten Memory
A missing piece
Churning under its own weight
And noticed no more
A fragment of time
Slipped out from the great beyond
Torn from life's memoir
He dances within
Walks through the battlefield of love
As new life emerges
Whose life calls now?
From the chasm of a departed soul
And the great unknown
A scratch and an itch
He smells the scent of the distant past
No longer rotting away

Hello @naquoya, time plays with our memory and is the enemy of our tracks. regards
Yes, time plays with our memories, but sometimes it returns them to us.

Thanks for sharing your feedback.
Very reminiscent of long forgotten items, keepsakes and memories of times and things from days long gone by...
The past returning to us, in its own little way.
A scratch and an itch
He smells the sent of the distant past
No longer rotting away
Forgiveness and time always shine a new light on fading footsteps. Love the sentiment and the construction of this piece. Excellent piece of poetry:)
Thank you. Yes it deals with forgiveness, wisdom, growth, and time, which I suppose flows through all of these elements. I appreciate your comment.
