Steemit Sandwich Contest Week #30- "beefy"- Warning! Contains a lot of meat!
Caramelized onions with a lot garlic brings out the minced beef in this sandwich. I think I could have fed about 10 people with the amount of chili beef I made.
I had quite a bit of minced beef in my freezer and I needed to use it quickly. What could I make that would cover loads of meals?.... chili beef of course!

I used the following to make this sandwich:
Bread:
- Flour
- Water
- Yeast
- Salt
Filler
- Mantecoso cheese
- Minced beef
- Onion
- Garlic
- Chili
- Basil
- Tomato sauce
- Salt and pepper
- Molasses
First thing was to make the beef chili. This starts with a slow cook of your onions. The aim is to slowly release all the sugars and turn the onions golden brown. I added a bit of molasses to sweeten up a tad more. Once caramelized, then add your garlic and herbs.
Brown off your minced beef in the pot.
Great post my friend. I can attest, that is one good sandwich after you sharing that bread that you make with me. Fantastic. So if you get this message. I was planning on going to Don Lucho for lunch 10 soles, set menu. I ended up going there yesterday, as the place you mentioned three dogs ran out of it and started barking at me. Don Lucho seemed a liot cleaner. Food was fantastic. Got a huge fish civiche for 20 soles. Today I plan on just getting the set menu for 10 soles. Join me at 1pm, my treat. If you are free.....or.....I'm always down to make a sandwich.
If you your busy maybe we can hang and have another beer at your place tonight. The video we made yesterday looks fantastic! I'm out around 9am tmr.

hey bru, just back from town with ingredients. I am baking bread today and at 1pm I set the bread. I have also been to the local non profit to give them the donation, get receipts and six more tree saplings. Then I will post about what I planted yesterday evening.
I am stoked the video came out good, just not sure if I could watch myself just yet. But yes totally keen for a few beers. I could even make some basic pizzas tonight to go with it.
That sounds great!....like seriously, fantastic way to wrap up my time visiting the Intrepid Surfer here in this cool surf town of Lobitos Peru!
It's just crazy how rewarding steemit is for me. Getting paid to travel the world and meet great people like yourself I'm a very lucky guy.
Just today I get a message from @leotrap...."are you coming to Uraguay? we should meet up."
I've already got tickets to go there in April. So I'll be making friends with Steemit members in real life all over the world!

May be good publicity for your blog. Or.....we can just relax! lol You know I've gotten a bit obsessed with my blog! lol

Hello bru, I hope you made it ok to Piura and it isn't too hot where you are staying. If it is, get yourself to the biggest shopping centre in town.
I would like to thank you for your visit to Lobitos and hanging out. I hope you managed to get a few days of rest before you plunge back into it all.
I too have learn't a lot from you, more than you think and I am super appreciative of this. It has also helped me to focus and try out new stuff. Namely growing the "upvote a tree" posts and making short videos to post with it. I will try and do 3-4 posts a week on that subject. This evening I will be planting those trees I had in the courtyard. I will plant the just front of the door. Against the bamboo fence on the left. Just hope the soil will be kind to me :)
Please give me a shout when you will post the tree interview video and I might even watch myself argh....!

hehehe I shouldn't have really, but I couldn't wait the extra time to really brown off the onions. It came out nice and juicy!
