Steemit Sandwich Contest Week #10: Inverted Fresh Mozzarella & Prosciutto Crudo Bites
This week is the 10th anniversary of @jaybird's Steemit Sandwich Contest !
I have less than 12 hours to make a qualifying creation, start to finish. It's time to get moving!! =O
The clock reads 15:00.
Snack time!!
Something quick, light, and fun is in order. Not too much bread, because that would make it heavy. So I came up with a tummy teaser of:-
SANDWICH NAME
Inverted Fresh Mozzarella & Prosciutto Crudo Bites
INGREDIENTS
Low-gluten Bread
Fresh Buffalo Mozzarella
Prosciutto Crudo
ASSEMBLE THE SANDWICH
De-crust a slice of bread and cut into thirds. Divide Mozzarella cheese ball into thirds, and make canals in each section.
Stuff each canal with bread.
Wrap a slice of Prosciutto Crudo around the bread and cheese. Trim ends of each log and halve it.
Enjoy!! =D
WAIT, WAIT, HOLD ON A MINUTE!!!!
3 Logs x 2 Halves each = 6 Bites!!
Why are there only 4 Bites on the plate?!!
Ohhh, I snacked two halves while assembling the logs to taste test if I needed to add extra spreads or toppings. Nope!! The buttery accent of the Mozzarella and the earthy nuttiness of the bread balances the salty tang of the Prosciutto Crudo perfectly.
