STEEMIT PHOTO CHALLENGE No. 17 Countryside - ENTRY No. 1 (CHILE)
Hey Steemians, here’s my 1st entry into the COUNTRYSIDE challenge.
My little brother on Lago Ranco
This is my little brother walking back from the dock to shore. Just an inch or two more of water and the shot would have been even better. Check out the clairty of the water. This lake is fed by melted snow from the Andes Mountains.
This pic is taken over looking Lago Ranco from the town of Llifen in Southern Chile. Here's a post specifically about Lago Ranco
Special thanks to @jamtaylor for putting this challenge together. I know it is a lot of work.

Thanks so much!
Absolutely captivating! It still looks like he is walking on water and the blue colours are truly rich. Well done!
thank you for the kind words. It's one of those once rare occasion photos. This Lake changes level a lot so this was just the right time.
Awesome picture!
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment
Water looks so clear...can people take a swim there?
Yes, in Summer we spend a lot of time in the water

Whoa.... like the guy is walking on water. cool. or wet if he falls.
It that some kind of long narrow bridge?
Hey @ace108. That's a walkway from the dock to the beach.
oh, the boat meant to dock that far away.
Yes because the water is fairly shallow, especially late in summer
Thanks for the info. :-)
@gringalicious - wow view - clear shot!
horizon's a bit tilted - but wowza place I want to go there now
your place?
very beautiful!
actually, I just went back to study the horizon and I feel like the camera was fairly square. I have spent a lot of time there and my mind knows all of the perspectives. We lived there for 13 months when we first arrived in Chile, but we still visit old friends from time to time.
Beautiful place!
thanks so much
wow the lake is like a mirror
that lake can be a mirror and a torrent sea, all in the same day. It all depends on the winds coming down out of the Andes. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
