SteemitPhotoChallenge #46: Bokeh. Light falling on She Oaks and Banksias. Magical Moments.
Spread veils of jewels.
Over grasses and wildfowers.
Bokeh: Circles of Light, I call them. ~Ally.
My entry for the theme, Bokeh in the Steemit Photo Challenge.
With gratitude to @jamtaylor for hosting, @berniesanders for sponsoring and @melodyrussell for being this week's Guest Judge for the Steemit Photo Challenge.
Passing the grove of She Oaks. She Oak needles:
A million dew drops, dancing in the early morning light.
Circles of Light. An almost unbearable sense of awe.

The first rays of the sun forging through the fog.
Falling upon webs and Golden Banksia's fine spiky leaves.

About my work.
I love being in the natural bushland of Australia: Overlooking or by the ocean, walking beside or along creek-beds, being in dense rainforests or the open dry plains.
Sometimes a song or quote or other ideas/thoughts/words come to me, when I look at the photographs I've take from these wonderlands. Giving form to a short 'poem' to accompany the image.
I also construct small ephemeral assemblages or arrangements from flowers, weeds and plants combined with other natural materials that I find in the bushland or surrounding urban streets.
Magical Moments:
Magical Moments is not a 'challenge' ~ My vision is that it will become more a 'Curated Gallery' where selected contributions will be Upvoted and Resteemed and in time awarded ~ In some as yet unknown way.

Thanks so much @mxzn. Really grateful for you appreciation.
Beautiful bokeh in first photo!
Thanks so much Di.
My feeling is that these 'Circles of Light' are more akin to orbs (or nature spirits) ~ In editing the image (LightRoom) I could see that they are not just flat circles, but actually have concentric markings.
Beautiful moments, first photo is amazing!
Thanks so much Maya. The original photograph was slightly underexposed, and so it was such a joy to lighten it up a little, to see the beautiful little 'Circles of Light.'
They have often appeared in my images of the local creek area, which is a very 'magical' place.
Wonderful shots. Particularly the Casuarina with the water dops. I can just about hear a flock of Yellow-tailed Black cockatoos overhead.
Thanks so much Alan.
Absolutely impossible to capture what I actually saw. As the morning light falls upon the needles, after rain or the dew, huge virtual circles of light form: Made up from trillions of dew drops on the needles glistening. Nothing is static.
I've tried to capture the beauty of it so many times: As it's facing directly into the sun, it's incredibly challenging. So I was reasonable happy with this image.
On the edge of suburbia, it's amazing the bird life in this area: Kookaburras, magpies, pewees, butcher birds, black swallows, the occasional wren and LOTS of sulphur crested cockatoos. Black cockatoos are a real treat and we mainly see them a bit further north of Sydney.
That first photo is reaaly cool! Amazing bokeh with waterdrops 8)
Really pleased you like it @boddhisattva. The way the light was sparkling silvery circles of light all around the banksia bushes was actually just as, if not even more magical ~ Just virtually impossible to capture the beauty of it all as a photograph.
This bokeh is just amazing! Guess this is one of the winner photos.
Have a wonderful day with lots of 'magical moments' my friend!
So pleased that you thought so highly of this photograph Patrick. Especially as there were so many incredibly beautiful bokeh images. It certainly was a magical morning, that I have yet to share as a #BeautifulDay. I hope you have a magical new week now.
A beautiful and magical week also to you, Alison! :)
