Free homeschool curriculum and resources edition 4

I have decided to dedicate a few blogs a week to free homeschool curriculum and resources this is the fourth edition. I was going to do these once a week but due to popular demand and the fact I have 12 years of resources gathered I am going to up the pace of these post to two to three a week.

I help run a page on Facebook with the same name as in the title. A friend came up with the idea and asked me to help run it because us like many families that home school or want to home school don't have thousands of dollars to spend on curriculum and are lucky if we have even a few hundred dollars to spend on curriculum so what we did was scour the internet and tried to gather all the free resources in one place.

Today's focus is on History/Social Studies resources. I live in the United States so you will see a lot of American History in these links. I will focus another post on World History at a later date. This list is not exhaustive of free resources that are available. Google is always a good tool to find resources for free on any topic. It is a powerful tool home schoolers of today have that wasn't available years ago.

I also highly suggest documentaries on topics. The History Channel has put out some good ones and most of them are available for free on Youtube. Not to mention the countless other documentaries produced by other companies.
I believe history is important, that when we forget the mistakes of the past we are doomed to repeat them. I hope we don't
repeat some of the history that has happened. That we grow and always learn from the mistakes of the past never forget them so they don't happen again. Humans are kind of forgetful.
