Motivate Your Child To Always Learn

As parents we always want our children to achieve good learning achievement. For that then we need to pay attention so that our children are always preparing themselves with to study in school. Not only provide pocket money and other stationery, but we always motivate learning when at home and do homework thoroughly.

Most parents are sometimes overwhelmed when the child is lazy to learn. Usually parents tend to reward prizes. An example is you promise to buy him a toy or object he likes. Another common way is to threaten the child. For example by not allowing him to play with his friends if he has not studied or repeated the lessons his teacher taught at school.

Both of the above should be avoided because it is not good for the child's emotional development. Use a wise approach.

When your child is lazy to learn or not to do Homework, of course, the child has difficulty in the subject matter he is studying. So our duty as parents to motivate and help the learning difficulties. Be enthusiastic and make sure that he can do it by reminding him of the things he has done well. Make sure the child has competence for the tasks assigned to the school and keep the child independent in learning.

If your child is still having trouble learning or doing homework, the next step is to help the child learn. So as a parent we do not just just ask if we're doing homework? Or Have you studied? Hopefully this post useful.

Thank you for sharing this post. As a parent this is of concern to me. Still after reading your post I can not clearly see the "wise approach" you suggest? If you could mention some specific examples it would be really useful for me as a parent and a teacher. I understand that tangible rewards are not enough to motivate students to learn independently although rewards will motivate an initial start behavior. My own children may be classified as "lazy" or as children "having trouble learning" because they don't do their homework but personally I classify them as "creative" with "individualistic learning styles." I agree that all parents "should help the child learn." Instead of just pushing kids to get something done parents should sit down with them and see what kids are learning and help them together to overcome learning obstacles. If there are unusual responses parents should consult a professional early in childhood development. Thank you for your efforts to explain this to parents. I would like to hear some of your own stories in how this worked with your kids.
