2ND GRADE MATH BASIC FRACTIONS - PRACTICE SHEETS ON ONE THIRD
Introduction To One Third
Fractions are parts of whole numbers and one third is one of the most basic fractions. When there are three equal parts of a whole then each part is known as one third and we write it as 1/3.
After practicing worksheets on half, kids get ready for next basic fraction which is one-third. I am sharing 3 worksheets which can be used to introduce one third to young kids. I also encouraged parents to take the charge and start teaching such basic concepts to their kids at home.
There are many daily life examples which can be used to teach this basic fraction to kids. Again we can use a pizza and cut it into three equal slices and tell your kids that each slice is one third (one out of three). You can use kitkat bars or some cookies to introduce one third to your kids.
Below are the worksheets with the pdf links;
Hope above worksheets will be helpful to introduce one third to the kids. Below are the links to my previous posts on 2nd grade math;

This is so helpful. So glad to be able to just print these out!
Very helpful information. Do you have anything to help 4th graders in their math? Thanks !
Thanks for the appreciation dear friend @rangertx!
Thanks a lot dear friend @pompe72. This can't be any better, great explanation of one third!
@pompe72 is right — the only way to further improve your lessons, would be using pizza as an example, @mathworksheets :))
Yes my dear friend @lighteye that is an excellent supplement to my lesson by @pompe72. Thanks a lot for your support!
Wow great post👍
