Introduction

I love community effort because joining hands together is the best way to leverage the power of all. I love education because knowledge is power. Now you probably know why I support and decided to promote @steemiteducation. @steemiteducation is an amazing community of teachers and educators that support each other. This community hopes to make the world a better place by promoting educational posts and authors that create them. Read exactly how they put it:

The steemiteducation account was started to bring all educators together on this platform. We believe that education gives us better knowledge of the world around us and it changes the world into a better place. We are a close community and young and old, work together, to share ideas, teach each other, and learn from each other.

So to support and promote this amazing community of educators, I will make 2 posts each week - every saturday and wednesday - to review my 5 top posts curated by @steemiteducation in the last 2 or 3 days. I will probably increase the number of posts if I have the time to read more. The aim is to promote the community and authors that volunteered to spread knowledge. This is my little contribution to support the efforts of @steemiteducation for bringing teachers and educators together.

So lets get into the business!

My top 5 posts for today 30/6/2019

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

1. HOW DO ANIMALS WALK ON WATER?

When I saw the subject of this article, I knew it would be informative because I have wondered about this question too. @methusalem The article explained two techniques used by different animals. One of the technique is called gliding. Animals with light weight like inserts simply glide over the water fast and they do not sink because of their light weight and speed of movement. There next technique is called flapping. Read the article and learn how it works.

2. TEACH YOUR CHILDREN TO EARN THEIR OWN MONEY.

This article contains a powerful lesson most parents need to learn. While its ok to provide for their children, its good to teach them how to earn their own money. @bigbear explained that you can equate each chores with how much it could have earned if done for some other persons. Then, ask your kids how much money they need and they will find the corresponding amount of work to be done to earn it. This way, they learn that you work hard to earn money plus other things. Read more by visiting this article.

3. Facts on South Africa

Its good to learn about places and things, so why not learn about South Africa. First of all, am proud to identify with a fellow African @alishi. In this article, she wrote about her Country South Africa. The facts include having a very long coastline up to 3000km and a population of more than 46 million. Other facts are really interesting so check out the article.

4. What to do when you failed your grade

Failing a grade is a nightmare for every student. The shame and ill feeling could be overwhelming. @anneke used this article to encourage students to take positive action to improve their grades. The suggestions include not to miss schools, to do homework and to ask for assistance in learning to do difficult homework. Other suggestions are found in the article.

5. DIY | ecoDesigns Trainees learn how to make pillows from Textile Waste

@ecodesigns is doing a great work to empower young women by teaching the craft-making. In this article, we see young woman learning how to make pillows from textile waste. The measurements, material and methods are all explained. Apart from the fact that these people learn a skill, ecodesigns also help to save the environment from pollution. Visit their page and appreciate the enormous work they do.
