Make A Profit Farming Chickens By Using My Proven Calculations

in #steemiteducation7 years ago

Hello fellow Steemians, I hope you are well! Today I would like to share some useful information with you, something that I think will help develop the economy and give you a way to make a good income, possibly to sustain you for life. I would like to educate you on how you can farm chickens using calculations that will help you turn a profit from your livestock.

A General Overview

A chicken is a strong and healthy animal, one that can adapt to extreme weather conditions quite easily, making it an easy animal to farm. Chickens also provide a good source of meat and protein, whether it be from the eggs the chicken lays or from the meat from the bird’s body. When farming chickens in our area, one has the choice of farming the local chickens or broiler chickens.

What are broiler chickens?

Broiler chickens are chickens that have been genetically altered by humans so that they grow faster than a natural chicken. Economically, broiler chickens help produce a faster turnaround on revenue, since it only takes about 30 days to grow them to a weight of 1.5 to 2 KGs! On the downside, these chicken breeds are more susceptible to disease and die easier than our local organic chickens.

In terms of being a source of food, Broiler chickens are not very healthy for humans, mostly because of the fact that they are genetically modified, but also because in most circumstances, they are caged and grown in very unhygienic and inhumane conditions. To add, the meat from these chickens is very mushy and fatty!

This is why I prefer farming with our local chickens. These chickens are God’s gift to us and we should preserve the natural food that we are given.

BUT!

In terms of market value, local chickens have not been able to keep up with the production of broiler chickens, thus making the price of local chickens more expensive.
With this in mind, I invite my friends to take the opportunity to maintain local chickens that will provide fantastic benefits for the economy, using my calculations below.
Firstly, I recommend that you feed your chickens organic feed that is made from household waste (like off-cuts from vegetables and so on). Please see one of my previous posts on how to make organic feed for more information:

My Calculations

With my simple calculation I can guarantee that you will make extraordinary profits in just three years – with just 10 hens and one rooster to start.
Local Chickens, can deposit eggs 4 times in a year, that includes laying the eggs, incubating them and nurturing the hatchlings. In each cycle, at least 10 eggs will be laid.

Example:
10 x 10 = 100 x 4 cycle = 400 eggs
But let’s say that only half of the eggs hatch successfully. This leaves us with 200 tails (an average of 100 female and 100 males). We sell the males and keep the females.
In the second year we now have had a minimum of 100 chickens to breed with.

Example:
100 x 10 x 4 cycle = 4000 eggs
Again, let’s say only half of the eggs hatch successfully. We now have 2000 chickens (1000 females and 1000 males). The males we sell again.
By the third year we have had a 1000 female chickens plus 100 males. The hens lay eggs again.

Example:
1000 x 10 x 4 cycle = 40 000 eggs
The hatch is successful at 50 percent.
So, by the third year, one will produce as many as 20 000 chickens!
If we sell this livestock, we will get fantastic benefits:
20 000 tail x $ 3 = $ 60 000 (for the price of chickens in Indonesia).

Why not start your own business and give this a go?

I really enjoyed it

Interesting numbers. Read the calculations.

That was noteworthy, the amount one can supposedly make ♦♦ I am sure some #reading this will consider giving it a go.

I mean, with just 10 hens and one rooster to begin -- well, one doesn't have much to Lose !

Kudos on yr premium post ♦♦ I've an interest in #HISTORY/Culture as u do, so will follow you [and #FOOD of course ]

You forgot the cost for feeding the chicken, to feed so many chicken you need some food supply wich is cheap

you should see my link on how to make fodder from household waste. it really is very cheap

Please provide the link here.

I have provide a link on the procedure make feed on posting above. try you see directly.

Oh thank you. A great job.

Local chicken is unique in many ways, its meat is very tasty unlike broiler. Its equally less stressful to rear. This post has given me another great idea and investment opportunity.
Thanks
