حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے چند فقراء رسول اللہ ﷺ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور عرض کی یا رسول اللہ ﷺ مالدار لوگ ہماری طرح نماز پڑھتے ہیں اور ہماری طرح روزے رکھتے ہیں مزید برآں وہ مالدار ہونے کی وجہ سے غلام آزاد کرتے ہیں اور صدقات دیتے ہیں (تو ہم تو ان کے ثواب میں برابر نہیں ہو سکتے )تو آپ ﷺنے فرمایا نماز پڑھ کر یہ کلمات سبحان اللہ 33 مرتبہ الحمدللہ 33 مرتبہ اللہ اکبر 34 مرتبہ اور لا الہ الاللہ 10 مرتبہ کہہ لیا کرو ان کلمات سے تم آگے بڑھنے والوں کا ثواب پا لو گے اور بعد میں آنے والے بھی تم سے آگے نہ بڑھ سکیں گے
