I Have the Power, Thanks to Hard Fork 19, So Do You
Yesterday a lot of us here on #Steemit saw a major increase in voting power and rewards for articles. My question is, what will you do with your new found power? Will you upvote more, but at a lower percentage? Will you continue full power upvoting till you run out? Will you begin powering up your account or will you cash out?
Me, I plan on upvoting more, but at a lower percentage so that I can help more of the rising stars as I like to call them. I try to focus on the smaller accounts, the ones that just started out, or the ones doing great stuff I would like to see more of. No offense to the people making it on the trending page but I feel my upvotes are better served elsewhere, especially when an article has hit $1,000+ on its first day, or less. I do plan on commenting more and interacting with the trending page content and supporting them that way. I will begin powering up my account sooner than later (I have a self imposed deadline of the end of July to be at 1,000 Steem Power or better).
This is a chance for a lot of us to do a lot of good for other people. I would like to hear how others planning on spreading their new found power around.

I'm powering up everything. I've noticed my posts getting less upvotes since hard fork 19
I started noticing about a month ago my upvote count went down and hovers around 10 to 20. Not sure how to get it up. Lol
This is what I plan on doing as well. There are a lot of good posters that are joining Steemit and I want to find them!

I read somewhere that last month, or this month, Steemit averaged almost 500 new accounts per day. That is a lot of new writers giving fresh takes on subjects. Nice to be able to reward them accordingly.
To be honest, I've saw the potential of Steemit in a totally different aspect and I almost stopped bothering about the technical aspect.
Okey, I may start tuning the power a little bit once I have the control after acquiring 500 SP, but it will still not a thing to bother about at all.
For me it's done two things. One, I've turned off SteemVoter and am now going all manual. Second, it's gotten me to actually start using the vote power slider and I'm still honing in on what my strategy is there. Over the last day I've drifted toward voting 50% on articles I like, 100% on articles I love. 10% on comments I interact with. 20% on great comments. It'll actually end up being less voting on articles for me, but I enjoy giving the bigger payouts and also voting on the content categories I like from certain authors and supporting my main tag of interest comics.
Very good idea about breaking up the vote power for various activities. I never thought of that.
That is awesome about dropping the auto vote thing. I am not a fan of bots myself as I write content for people, not robots.
I feel like the dollar value is influencing my decision right now too and I may always adjust depending on price fluctuations. Pre hardfork I was only voting for about .15-.20 so I always did 100%. At the levels I mentioned above I'm giving comments .50 cents to $1.00 and posts between $2.50 - $5.00. That just feels good right now. We'll see how it develops!
