Adjusting @tipU Voting ROI: Min +1% / Max +20% / + Profit Share Tokens
Hi guys, how's it going. Today I've updated the ROI calculations for @tipu voting service that sets the minimum ROI to +1% so negative ROI is no longer possible. Check out the rest of the post for more details.
The reason why the negative ROI was possible before was that @tipU couldn't handle all the upvote requests and had to go into sleep/recovery mode each day which made many users a bit angry.
Thanks to recent delegations and some other mechanics that allow to limit voting power draining (especially on old posts which really doesn't fit the "promotion" category) this is no longer an issue - so ROI calculation does not have to go into negative mode.
Currently the minimum ROI is set to +1% and max to +20%. On top of that each vote reqest is rewarded with @tipU profit sharing tokens so the actual ROI is far higher :)
The minimum ROI at +1% means that each upvote will be profitable and the user will always receive more than what he paid. When you compare it to most of the bidbots that's quite unusual as most of them does not feature negative ROI protection.
PS. First person that spots something weird in that gif above (apart from green arrow) will get 10 STEEM :P

Hi @cardboard, I'm not sure what happened and if you are aware...
I used the "pay now" feature - and at the time it was unresponsive. When I awoke this morning it had 1.628 STM - which is an over payment.
I am pleased to see that your app has started recovering the funds; I do however have the following concern - particularly since I'm not sure of the algorithm conducting the recovery event.
At the time of these snapshots it's been 4 hours since the payout and presumably the recovery of funds...
A rough calculation hints at the recovery of the full 1,628 SP whereas it should only recover the portion that was over-paid...
I'm therefore seeking clarity on the workings of the recovery process which the app uses - that it is fact only recovering the portion that was over paid.

No that's an unusual bug, seem you were the only one affected. Probably caused by steem api error which paused the service and when it resumed, it instantly processed all requests - fixing it now.
I've removed the negative balances, hope makes the problem resolved for you :)

Hi @cardboard, this is something I haven't noticed before perhaps you can give me some clarity.
The calculation at the bottom says the additional steem awarded will be;
Additional 0.264879134 STEEM (150 STEEM x your share: 0.203753%) is added to your profit through the day. This bonus profit comes from weekly power down.
...whereas (150 STEEM x your share: 0.203753%) = 0,305631

Thanks for the heads up :) the actual distributed amount was right, just on the website formula I forgot to update it from 130 to 150 (it was showing 150 in description but the calculation displayed was for 130). And we should be moving to 160 soon :)

It seems that the data for new month is added at the bottom of the list. Will try to sort it out :)
That's really a nice update from now ill be using it as my no one priority in bid bots.
