Creator/CEO of DTube, Heimindanger, declares war on botted trending posts!

I haven't got the time to make a video today, so I would just type this article out because I think this is an important subject.

If you have been watching the trending section of Steemit, you may have noticed that majority of posts got into trending due to upvote bots. Those upvotes will make our payouts smaller because the bots have taken large amount of share in the rewards pool (considering it made so much money that it went into trending).

This is where we need to work together to ensure that we take those posts down from the trending, ensuring only good content that deserves the real upvotes, goes into the trending section. The creator and CEO of DTube, @Heimindanger, created a very simple web-based tool to search for botted posts, and allows you to downvote all of them in one click.

However, the downvotes from one Steemian will not be sufficient to take those out (even a whale with 1 million effective SP) so we need YOU to work together to eliminate those posts from the trending section as much as possible. Think about this: STEEM uses a proof-of-brain algorithm to generate new coins. We "mine" STEEM by human input (for example content engagement or content creation). Upvote bots are not OK on this platform and will significantly reduce our author and curation rewards that we all deserve. So, using the link above, please help us by making use of your voting power, clean up the trending section so that only good posts go up there.

Note that this will use a lot of your voting power (2% for each post), so just do what you can. My recommendation is to bookmark the link above, and revisit it about once a week to downvote them. As a @onelovedtube curation trail follower, I did the same and now I'm left with only 60% of my voting power (from 90%). I'm sure that it will take a long time to get to 100% (because I have to set at least 12% voting weight or else I can't auto upvote posts for the trail) but it's worth the sacrifice so that we get what we deserved to earn on this platform.
