Self portrait and thoughts on 3 weeks on Steemit

Ok I never said it was a self portrait of me

Bahbahra wanted to help with this post and wanted to feature in it with a self portrait

Now onto my thoughts on Steemit after three weeks on here

Let's start with the positive

I have found such an amazing sense of community on here it is so refreshing as compared to other social media sites

In a relatively short time have reconnected with people I had lost track of on other sites and meet many new people on here posting such interesting work be in photography poetry, general thought, tips

There is so much great content it is truly inspiring

That all said being on here has motivated me to get out and take new photos in general and to shoot some areas I have been slack on for a while

So I want to say a big thanks to those following and supporting me as well as those I follow for the inspiration

Now as with any site there are somethings i could let annoy me but choose to not let them get to me

Firstly the crowd solely focused on numbers and not content so you see their comments cut and pasted everywhere with a generic comment and follow me

Well that may work for some but not for me I just ignore those comments and move on

Being a photographer all be it a hobbyist it does annoy me a bit to see people downloading other people's work and sharing either with no credit to the original artist or claiming it as there own

Now if someone follows me I always return the follow but if I see them doing either of the above I will stop following them

The best advise I saw on day one here is be real and be yourself and that is great advise I feel

So in conclusion am having a blast on here and plan to make this the site I put most of my energies into

PS you may have noticed I haven't mentioned any numbers that's because honestly it's not my focus on here what will be will be
