Before getting into the topic just wanted to let you know that this is my 1000th post on Steemit.

On my 1000th post there is no better option than posting about my favorite niche "Cricket" .

After the Ind vs Aus ODI series, this is the time for T20 series. Total of 3 T20  were scheduled in this tour and in this post I am going to write about 1st T20 which was played yesterday between the two teams.

So it was played between them at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi the home ground of Ms Dhoni. Total of 6 T20 has been played at this venue where batting first won 2 and chasing team own other 4.

Then it was the time for toss :-

India won the toss and elected to bowl first looking at the weather condition and past record.

Ashish Nehra was added to the squad and Steve Smith was ruled out due to injury and Warner was the Captain for Australia.

India played with the same 10 with added Srikar Dhawan for Rahane as that of ODI's where Aussies made many changes. Jason Behrendorff debuted for the Aussies and was capped by Brad Hogg. 

Now it was the time for the Aussies to start the innings :- 

It was again the same pair Warner and Aaron Finch who stated the inning for the Aussies. From the very first over Warner tried to take on Bhubaneswar Kumar hitting 2 consecutive boundaries but then Kumar strikes back with a inswinger delivery and Warner was bowled.Then Maxi comes to the creased and his bad fortunes continues. When Finch was clean hitting the ball Maxi was struggling to connect. It was Chahal again who picked Maxi with a short delivery making it 5 consecutive time.

From here on there is nothing much to appreciate for the Aussies but a bow to India for bowling and fielding so well.Fine spell from Kuldeep Yadav in the mid overs who picked up 2 wickets giving conceding just 16 runs.

 Then during the death over Bumrah bowled Paine and Counter-Nile with his yorker delivery. Aussies were 118-8 at 18.2 over when it started to drizzle and the game stopped.

Lets see what happened when India started their innings :-

It was good that after a span of nearly 2 hours then game resumed or else effort from India would have gone in vain.But unfortunately for the Aussies they couldn't complete their 20 over and as per D/L method target for India was 48 in 6 overs.4 bowlers can bowl 1 over each and 1 bowler can bowl 2 overs. 

It was Dhawan accompanied by Rohit  opened the innings for India.In the very first ball Rohit hits a four off the debutante Jason Behrendorff but he bowled next 5 balls with good line and length. Next over Rohit hits a six off Nathan Coulter-Nile and then bowled by him in the next delivery.Then Indian skipper Virat comes to the crease. 

Virat was calm but Srikar was fiery and connecting well even after missing the ODI's .So India chased down the target in 5.3 overs with Virat hitting the winning runs for a boundary.It was a tiny and calm innings by the Indians.

Now it was time for the presentation:-

It was Kuldeep Yadav, awarded 'Man of the Match" award for his spell of 4 over conceding 16 runs and bagging 2 wickets.

Words from Kuldeep Yadav :-

I'm very happy. This is my first Man of the Match. First couple of balls I saw what he (Finch) was trying to do and set him up with an overpitched ball. I always think about wickets and that's what really matters to me and the team. I'm getting more confident day by day and game by game. Performing well against a top side like Australia, I'm very happy for myself.

Words from Indian Skipper Virat Kohli :-

After winning the toss and bowling first that sort of effort was required and the our bowlers did well. The game can get tricky with a small chase like that. Bhuvi getting us the early breakthrough, Bumrah in the end overs and spinners in the middle overs. It's been a combined effort from the players. Giving the younger bowlers the confidence they need. Wrist spinners can turn the game on its head. We are very happy with the bowlers right now. You need to execute your yorkers and you have to have a strong head to take your chances against the batsmen. You need to have skill and a strong head in T20I cricket. He (Dhawan) was playing really well in Sri Lanka. He is an impact player and we need him to do well.

Words from Australian Captain David Warner :-

We will try and be better next game. At the end of the day, we didn't deserve to win. The bowlers did an okay job. I don't really have an answer for our struggles in T20Is. It's disappointing and we'll see how we can improve that. He's (Behrendorff) from Perth and he's got nice bounce and pace. I'm looking forward to playing more games with him in Australian colors.

Lets look at some interesting match facts :-

1. It was the fifth successive time Chahal dismissed Maxwell: firstly in IPL 2017, then thrice in the ODI series, and then at this match
2. Total of 6 Australian batsmen were bowled in their innings, which equals the world record
3. This is David Warner's first loss as Australia's T20I captain

Preview for next match:-

Next match will be played on 10th October at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. Aussies are a way better than they are displaying it on the field so it will be interesting to watch if they come with a bang.
