Hahaha, what will make steemit withstand the "test of everything", isn't blockchain or steem or the "cycle of mining with minds" as carried out by steemians incessantly; it is the self-sacrificing love of the humans behind the steemians.

On today's internet, the existence of self-sacrificing, on its own; can be said to be luxury and doesn't exist anywhere else online and i will prove this is a bit. Yes, there may be some love left on the internet but how about love in the face of inconvenience? No where else on the internet can self-sacrifing love be said to be rampant! 

There can be fears entertained of like steemit's competition, like synereo, akasha etc but the very people behind steemit have modeled the art of exercising self-sacrificing love into the very curriculum of steemit, that these so-called competition, will not be able to touch steemit's eventual prowess.

Everyone has talked of steemit as an addition. Even when their conviction about the platform becomes a bit shaky, they just can walk away. The ups and downs? In real life, is it all rosey! Even true love is self-sacrificing!

Even if you walked in here, all out to game the system, steemit has had a way of changing your metabolism and turning you into a lover instead. Internet of today is fast-paced with everyone a potential customer or nothing! Who has time, to sit with you, to tell you how to get self-help etc

@klye made a steem faucet called www.steem.global to give away 0.143 steem daily and leave extra smiles on many but a steemian ransacked it using multiple accounts to usurp it off some steem, but then, this steemian recently came out clean, to ask forgiveness and offered to return what was taken. That is news blast in today's world. On today's internet, that is news flash for www.buzzfeed.com or www.cointelegraph.com

@clayboyn: While you do need to use an exchange such as Poloniex, Bittrex, or shapeshift.io, any exchange to convert with honestly, you need to get an account set up on either Uphold.com or Coinbase.com. I haven't really used anything but those two, except localbitcoins.com but there you have to pretty much agree to meet people, find an atm, or blind trust over the internet. I recommend Uphold.com personally, but whatever you choose, coinbase.com or uphold.com are going to pretty much require a linked checking account which takes several days. I just sold some BTC today to pay bills and it will be credited into my account on or before Wednesday. Hopefully that helps.

@karenmckersie: Oh ! So now that i opened my poloniex account , before i do anything else i need to go and open an account as well at coinbase or uphold ! Then go back to poloniex and figure out how to change steem into bitcoin , then do i sell my bitcoin at coinbase !? Im getting confused lol ! And is it hard to change my steem into bitcoin !? 👍

@clayboyn: FYI I still highly suggest you set up a coinbase or uphold account so that in the future you can do all of this without having to take the step of finding an ATM. I can't promise there is one very close to you though :( I know Ontario has some.

@clayboyn: the last picture is from the poloniex "deposit and withdrawals" tab. You have to find "steem" and you may have to uncheck a box at the top left that says "hide 0 balances". This is how to get your memo from poloniex.

@clayboyn:The other small chance of getting cash on time that may help you is if you know anyone on steemit that you trust to paypal you the funds for the BTC or steem. I don't have the money to do it or I would help you out. But basically the instructions are still the same, send the steem to poloniex. Go to the exchange and select steem. Sell your steem for BTC. Send the BTC to your wallet on coinbase and from there you can send it to your checking account for like a 1 or 2% fee. It's pretty cheap.

@clayboyn: I had a feeling. I have showed a few people how to do this for poloniex for the same reason. Don't stress it. Just copy whatever their memo is they tell you to use and make sure the user you are transferring to is "poloniex" all lower case and spelled just like the website you are on. People are always scamming.

@clayboyn: I don't think you can pay out to a credit card. I have only ever paid out to a bank account or paypal. That's why I was saying it probably won't work before Tuesday. You have to link the bank account.

@clayboyn: Coinbase is going to take significantly longer than poloniex. Coinbase takes like 5 confirms or something where poloniex only takes 1. It will show up eventually. Once coinbase "discovers it" it will show as pending.

@clayboyn: The first time is the most nerve wracking. Don't stress it you will be a pro in no time. If you copy as pasted the Bitcoin address from coinbase you shouldn't have any problems, just refresh coinbase. It should be pending by now at least.

@clayboyn: You got this, the first step is all nerves. The BTC blockchain moves slower by design, so it is never going to be as fast as steem's transfer times. It's all good, you'll get used to it in no time.

@clayboyn: You need to go to the settings or account settings and link a checking account or paypal account. Then you can click the buy/sell button and there will be an option towards the top to switch to the "sell" tab. You can then sell it to a payout source.

@clayboyn: Click on payment methods, and at the top right corner of that area is a + sign with "add payment method" next to it. You have to select bank account and enter routing number and account number and go through their verification stuff, or the paypal option is just the paypal authorization I think. It's been a while since I added paypal.

@karenmckersie: This is ridiculously hard !!! I went to payment methods and + add payment method and still all that comes is my credit card ! I tap on the blue words it says i need to add a chequeing account to recieve payments or money , but nothing comes up to add a chequing account or a pay pal account !? And because i have gone there too many times i think i might have to wait 24 hours now to try again even though i wasnt able to try anything ! Maybe its not available in canada !?

@clayboyn: It's possible I guess, I am not sure though because I think everyone I have helped did checking account first. Did it say you had to verify your card you added first maybe?

@karenmckersie: The credit card info is all set up , but i cant set up anything else i might have to wait now untill tomorrow because i tried 3 times now so i need to wait 24 hrs. And i cant change places now because they have my btc. Now.

@clayboyn: You can still send your BTC. Unless they froze your account for some reason, but that is stupid if they did. Either way setting up a checking account on any exchange takes time because of the KYC laws. Give it a try when it unlocks. I know when I set up my account they didn't have many options. I think it was just checking account and they added debit cards later, but you could only buy like 30 dollars a week or something rediculous. I'll try to help you out tomorrow if it's unlocked.

@clayboyn: The vault thing will not add options, it's a way to basically move your bitcoin into a frozen state. It takes days to unlock it.

@clayboyn: Uphold has a very different layout, I am half asleep so I can't really figure it out at the moment. I remember you have to make a BTC wallet and a USD or I guess moose money wallet for you. You send your BTC to the BTC wallet and sell it for moose moneys then transfer the moose money to the bank.
 

@clayboyn: Don't forget that on coinbase you have to link a bank account or paypal account or something to them to pay out to. Bank accounts take a while because they do the whole "match two deposits and withdraws of less than a dollar" thing.

@clayboyn: Oh Kelowna is big, you might have an ATM. A coinbase account is going to take you over a week to get cash into your account. It won't help you this time. Give me a few minutes I'm gunna try to find you an ATM or a safe person.
