For real though, I sold 450ish steem earlier to get some LBRY. I think the two are going to end up going hand in hand. LBRY to replace YouTube for starters. LBRY is an entire protocol in a way that steem is a platform. I'd be curious to see steemit transition to the LBRY protocol at some point, would be amazing.

Im in Canada thats why i just commented to Barry , he said once I was ready and opened a account on poloniex he could help me as i dont have a clue on how this works , theres a first time for everything !! 👍👍👍
While you do need to use an exchange such as Poloniex, Bittrex, or shapeshift.io, any exchange to convert with honestly, you need to get an account set up on either Uphold.com or Coinbase.com. I haven't really used anything but those two, except localbitcoins.com but there you have to pretty much agree to meet people, find an atm, or blind trust over the internet. I recommend Uphold.com personally, but whatever you choose, coinbase.com or uphold.com are going to pretty much require a linked checking account which takes several days. I just sold some BTC today to pay bills and it will be credited into my account on or before Wednesday. Hopefully that helps.
Oh ! So now that i opened my poloniex account , before i do anything else i need to go and open an account as well at coinbase or uphold ! Then go back to poloniex and figure out how to change steem into bitcoin , then do i sell my bitcoin at coinbase !? Im getting confused lol ! And is it hard to change my steem inti bitcoin !? 👍
All i know or think is I need to change steem into bitcoin hen bitcoin into something , does it go into my bank account directly or does it go to paypal !? I have no idea !haha !😊
I will help you learn the basics real quick if you would like. I don't know how fast you need money but there are reputable buyers in BC, Canada. Canada is kind of huge, so I don't know what's close to you. First go to poloniex.com and make an account. You are going to need somewhere to send your steem.

That is what I asked her to do the other day and also a Bittrex acct for the other coins Polo or others do not carry. I asked her today to head to Quadriga CX in Canadastan so she can link her bank accts and get going on that end. Just so you know. OK, it's OpenBazaar for video. People host videos torrent style with payments forwarded to OP. Could work. Do you have any info on the quality and track record of the dev team? This seems quite ambitious, but certainly awesome if they pull it off. If Google remains the default source for all video on the 'net, we all loose, even Google in time.
They have held since the price was well over steemit peak market cap, until it fell under 1k satoshi and still aren't selling. They are solid and the product is gold. You can see videos of people using it on youtube.

Hi Barry , for some reason after all this hassle today coinbase for some reason wont let me set up a chequeing account all that comes up for me is debit /credit i guess paypal and chequing may not still be available in Canada ! Its gotten totally rediculous i had no idea how hard this was going to be 7 hours now ! @clayboyn thinks maybe i should try uphold.com !? Who do you use in Canada !? Thats the easiest , i will need to move my bitcoin somewhere else now 👍
You have Poloniex set up. Move your SBD there for now if you have not converted it.

I didn't include it in my list, but I'm still holding 4k+. I sold off 2k to get my initial investment out of it plus some profits. I'm not sure if I'm LONG long term with it, but I do think it has amazing potential. It might be a great long term hold as well (when I say long term, I'm thinking 5 or more years), I'm just not sure yet.

Thanks so much, Barry. I was just thinking today about how I might put together some informational products to help explain crypto to people. So many have never even heard of cryptocurrency or why it matters and many others are trying to get into the game but don't know where to start. I think a video series walking them through the basics could be really helpful and valuable.
Agreed, that is why I have always # my various series on here, tied to FB and Twitter also for things to easily find/remember them, ie my #Steemit101 stuff or #Crypto1010 stuff.
It is like that old video on YT of yours I found and commented on, and you then blogged on it after that..... you forgot that was there LOL.
I think you would be perfect for this kinda thing actually.
