Getting to know the human behind the steemian is key to community. This doesn't mean getting to know them in person but getting a gist of what they entail. 

Have you ever attended like a steemfest event or a steemit meetup at least? 

You will feel so amazing, when you meet a steemian for real. I mean, that physical person behind the steemit username, that you have so admired only by means of his username; the chemistry is instant!

Yes, steemit can be said to have been created to enhance anonymity etc but it doesn't all work that way, in today's internet. People do want human interaction and this is evident even here. Even if your username is @abc, people want to at least get the feeling that you are real. 

I FOUND bitlanders BEFORE STEEMIT and i never got to know, if they really paid content creators because i spent only two days on there!

 Yes, there was that fun gamification experience but it was all filled with avatars and you hardly feel, that human presence!

Humans are grown past auto-responders and they know the difference! That is why, you have grown tired of responding to DMs on twitter and you wouldn't last long chatting with the most entertaining opposite sex bot!

Look at the #introduceyourself segment on steemit! Steemians may want you to hold a photo up or at least link one of your social media accounts AND that may have nothing to do, with suspecting others to be spammers etc. It may have more to do with; steemians, wanting to feel, that a 'YOU' exists! 

Recent endeavors by @abit and many others, to celebrate comments, is to help highlight the human factor in our community. Steemit starts to become more of a home, than a business centre, where every other person is a potential customer or client. 

One big start-up place to instantly get to know the human behind the steemian, apart from the comments, the introductory posts and perhaps, the steemit.chat and discord places is:

Looking at what we see, when we try to click on this profile seen in the comments. This tells a lot about the human behind the steemian instantly and can easily mean a follow:

What comes up, when steemians come across your username and decide to hover around it? Is it blank?

This is yet another initiative that is dear to my heart as i really want to know every steemian especially now when the steemit community still feels small, for steemit moon-rockets!

I would like use to have photographic database of now, this moment in time or point on steemit; so it can be told that we shared these precious moments, before steemit contains millions of steemians!
