This is the first question steemit Newbies(Minnows) who join our "Minnows Helping Minnows Community" ask us. How can minnows helping minnows community help me grow and build up my steemit dollar account fast?
We use multiple strategies to help them grow fast. First of all we have to understand the fact that steemit is a blogging platform and an online business at the same time. Both content creators and curators get paid in Steemit. You can be both a creator(blogger) and curator(supporter of blogger) at the same time or you may decide to be a blogger or a curator. It is up to you. But you can make money in steemit either way.
The major focus of steemit is naturally blogging. If you are good at blogging, you can earn a decent income in steemit, but at the beginning, until you build up your following and a reputation the earning will be minimal at best. The best strategy would be while you are building a following and reputation as a blogger, you can work to build up your business side as a curator fast, when you are a minnow. If you are not good at blogging and not intending to become a master blogger, you can still make money building your online business as a curator.
There are many ways to make money in steemit as a curator. One of those is vote selling. I will concentrate on vote selling in this post. In order to make money with vote selling you have to join a vote selling bot and sell your vote and the bot will do the voting for you and you get paid for it. Unfortunately, as a newbie (minnow) you won't be able to do it, because to join the vote selling bots you need a minimum vote value of $0.03 = sbd 0.01.
Unless you bring in your own additional funds from out side, your vote value when you signup will be $0.003 and it will go down further as you start to use your voting power for every vote you cast. You can upvote 10-12 times a day and then you have to wait for your voting power to go up to 100% to vote with full value.

So, how can you sell your vote as a minnow and make money the very first day you join steemit? In the minnows helping minnows community discord channel, we have a #upvote-buying sub-channel where buyers list there steemit blog post links and when you upvote their post they will pay for your upvote.

Before you upvote anyone's post, send them a direct message(DM) there and work out the details with the buyer. You can also find out whether they have enough money to pay you by checking their wallet.
Our current payout rate is SBD 0.001= $0.0033. If your current vote value is $0.003 then the buyer will pay you sbd 0.001. if your vote value is less than $0.003, you can negotiate an arrangement with the buyer.

One of the big problems with the steemit newbies(Minnows) they get started with a lot of enthusiasm after looking at the payout amounts in the posts in trending and hot posts, hoping that they can get at least a fraction of it. But, when they post their posts at the beginning as newbies, lacking the support and following of big account holders, all they get is a few pennies and a few upvotes, if they are lucky. Discouraged and heartbroken they leave the steemit never to come back. Some of them stay a little longer hoping for whales and other big fish to help them. That rarely happens.
What we, minnows, have to do is to take pro-active action, help each other and grow fast. How can we help each other? There are many ways to do it such as upvoting, buying and selling votes from minnows. Sharing ideas and strategies to grow our accounts fast. But in order to do it we have to form small communities and grow together.
