I wanted to share with you a recent reply I have just made to comment on my last Blog.
For the ones that may not have seen it, here is part of the comment I wanted to highlight......
These last 2 years have been truly amazing and fun but now we have to get down to really monetising the #STEEM Ecosystem..!!
We have to think of the #STEEM Blockchain as a Business
It should come as no great surprise to people that know me, that my vision for #Steemit and the #STEEM Blockchain is extremely positive, but I do feel that we are missing a trick.
I have been banging on about this now for some time and will continue to do so until I get the message across.
Most people who come to #Steemit are blinkered and see a Blogging Platform.
I on the other-hand see something totally different.
As the flagship application for the #STEEM Blockchain, you have to look on #Steemit as a potential "Calling Card" to the outside world.
Effectively, we really do have to look at #Steemit and the #STEEM Blockchain as a Business and one that we should all be focusing our attention on looking at ways to monetise it.
These last 2 years have been absolutely amazing and great fun to be involved in, but for me the party is over and the hard work now begins.
Thinking outside the box
We are all in this together and we really do need to start focusing in on monetising the #STEEM Blockchain through thinking outside the box..!!
If not, all we'll have is a great Blogging Site and that would be a real shame.

We all should help in @ned 's goal of bringing 100K entrepreneurs on Steem blockchain. It is so exciting to watch that already many dapps are being built and should focus to bringing more developers on the STEEM blockchain, all producing applications that may attract many users.
Exactly, we need some proof to market for the blockchain itself other than its very cool blogging POC. I'm trying to squeeze it into my daily work since it's a perfect layer of incentivization for audience/stakeholders engagement. Looking forward to reading more business model using STEEM.
There are already projects that does the steemblockchain honor. It would be amazing to see this continued and more apps starting to pop out of the ground.
Well said,its really time to monetise steemit, since the value has reduced, we should think of strategy to increase the platform,which is already in motion
What if steemit steps up a Lil bit and implement or make additions that will naturally attract new users.... Like increment in payment and other eye catching additions that will easily make anyone interested in the platform.
