I'd love to point you as well to my Ultimate Voting Power guide. It's worth bookmarking, if I do say so myself! ;)

Thanks, I will check it out. TBH tho curation rewards seem like the exclusive domain of whales these days. I upvote without regard to any strategy for earning rewards because I don't have enough SP to compete with the big guys.

It's true; curation rewards are extremely low if you don't already have a lot of SP. This is part of why I've been creating my own curation rewards in the Lost Content Digest: https://steemit.com/lostcontent-digest/@biophil/lost-content-digest-4-all-proceeds-go-to-featured-authors

Great podcast guys..look forward to the next one

Good job on your podcasts. I enjoyed #5 and this one as well. Especially what you say at the end about quality content being SO important.

SteemPower is the way to go to support Steemit and help make it a success in one part with the power to upvote quality content. But more people need to focus on the quality content curating and content creation as well. There is far far far too much garbage fodder willing up the "new" section that it makes it tedious to find the qood higher quality material. People are going about Steemit wrong. They are focusing on making money instead of making Steemit a quality platform and helping Steemit succeed as a quality platform. I wrote a piece last night and published this morning called "Steemit Succeeds if We Make it Succeed - Analysis to Help Yourself and Steemit Grow in Quality", and luckily I got one whale to pay attention to it, @dantheman, but no others at least in voting, but that's ok. If they read it but didn't vote then it's still a win for me to helpout the Steemit community.

I just want this issue of quality content to be understood by more people, and have been trying to get it out on FB and on comments related to Steemit issues today that people have been posting, as I make the case in that post, using quotes from the white paper as the intended purpose of Steemit.

I hope you will read it and possibly share it, no need to vote if you don't want to. But this issue of low quality content with people focusing on jumping on the "money-making" bandwagon of posting 4 low quality posts each day, by upvoting popular personalities to cash in and ride the wave of curation payouts, needs to stop. People need to put high quality content first, for curation of posts, for their own posts they publish, and for the overall Steemit community to be a success. It's really annoying to go through all the "new" posts and try to find the good stuff to upvote while also trying to write posts to publish... time is limited.

People need to up their game, up the quality of their content, and up the curation quality they upvote for and focus less on the popular personalities who already have a huge following. People need to forget about the money as their primary concern, and focus on higher quality primarily if we are going to make Steemit a high quality success.

Thanks for your consideration in reading my post. Take care. Peace.

Thanks @krnel! Amen. You're going to love the @stellabelle episodes next week as she talks about a lot of the same things you are saying. I will check out your post.

Interesting a podcast about steemit, I will subscribe to this, looking forward for more interesting topics.

We've got some great episodes with @stellabelle, @sterlinluxan and @the-alien coming up!
