What kind of Content Do You Want to See From Me? [2018 and Beyond]

In 2018, I've decided to recommit to writing on Steemit - I think it'd be foolish not to, as I love writing, love getting to write whatever I want to write on here, and making money for something that I love doing for free.

As I write on Steemit, I'd like to refine and focus my vision.

As someone who's been recovering from PTSD for the last couple of years, I've found that the world has opened up in ways that I thought were impossible. I experience new sensations and feelings every day. I see familiar objects with new eyes, and their dimensions transform. Music has a new texture. Sweaters rub against my skin in a different way. Sometimes even wine tastes better.

I even see my writing in a new light - it's possibilities and complications have unfolded in front of me. I want to expand my usual repertoire of horror, because I've discovered that I'm more interested in people than horror. I've been studying new genres and researching characters. I've been experimenting with different forms.

Each day is exciting - that's strange for me because I used to sit around waiting to die.

So I thought I'd ask the community - what kind of content do you like seeing from me? I can't post a lot of stories I write here, as I have to save them for submitting to publications - but I'd also like to write some original content just for Steemit.

Do you like my journals, articles about life, poems, game reviews?

Is there a kind of thing I haven't written that you'd like to see from me?

Let me know in the comments below.

I second philosophy.

Seeing as everything written is expression of the artist in contact with nature:

I think you should write what is most authentic to you; the feelings and emotions you felt in the first to place to write, to live!

Each day is exciting - that's strange for me because I used to sit around waiting to die.

Ditto. So glad that you are committing to writing, and to Steemit.

Your journal type entries intrigue me. As do your short stories (although I understand if they are the ones you need to save for publications). Articles about life, and about your writing experiences always grab me.

And knowing more about how you overcame PTSD.

Thank you, I'm glad I'm here too. Never have I had such a great opportunity to write literally anything I want.

I'm actually going to write a series about PTSD. I think it's an interesting topic and I've never seen it described in a way that was helpful for me, so hopefully I can help others.

Well I look forward to reading that series. It is a topic of interest to me - especially the how to deal with it part.

Bro yes you are right keep it up.i followed you because you are legend to me.

I'd love to see more of your game reviews and articles about life from your point of view :)

Hope you have an awesome year @snowmachine.

I'd like to see writing about how people separate their time between the work and family and how it affects ones or the others. I see people that have difficulties in separating these and end up in waving their issues from home to work and vice versa. And some points on how these situations can be handled and how we can help people grow and separate this in order to have a happy life.

That's a great idea, thank you.

As someone who's been recovering from PTSD for the last couple of years, I've found that the world has opened up in ways that I thought were impossible.

More about this, as I'm actually going through this right now as well. Sometimes, in moments of panic, I forget how heavily my perception was warped - and how warped it remains - from trauma, and start to feel like it was always like this and always will be like this. Reading accounts from someone whose writing I'm already familiar with would be great.

This is an excellent idea - I had some great help in fighting my PTSD from someone who experienced something similar but as far as Internet resources there were hardly any that covered what I needed to do to get better. I will definitely write something about it.

Yes, indeed: I'm in full agreement with many of the comments pertaining to your PTSD.
Your raw delivery compels me to trust your writing as a legitimate expression of you, compellingly narrated with a flair for shock and awe. Specifically, I would like to learn what the trauma was and even more importantly how did you regard it during and then after, and how do you consider it now? Our personal perspectives are kaleidoscopes that change what we see depending on where we are in relation to the stimulating cue... I could write a dozen different stories about the shit I've been through, and each story would sound like it was coming from a different observer, and yet they would all come from the same author, from a different relational stance and regard for the event.
Please keep writing - there's never yet been a word of yours I've regretted reading 🤝

I hope you continue to write about your recovery and how you feel. Dark sides are necessary for the light to also shine brightly. I sometimes embrace mine.
I love your deep writings, perhaps something with a mystical slant.🐓

Thank you! I will definitely keep writing about those topics. (And I think I have enough dark side for several people...)

I'm just a new follower, but I'd answer the question in your headline like this: "Whatever content--fiction, poetry, essays, whatever--that most fully embodies the directions that your authentic self would like to creatively explore."

I totally agree - I think everyone should write what they want, but it's always nice to have input as well.
