Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 6/5/2019 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your wondering when perhaps something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do occasionally change it's format from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as it's important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 6/5/2019

Should you be trading with Steem today...?

March 10th Steem reached it's highest so far this year at $0.55 along with SBD's which also had a breaker on March/13th with it's highest being $1.41. With Bitcoins they have recently been holding above the $5200 mark, the highest for Bitcoins near the latest upwave which was beat May 3rd was $5793. And its only been 4 days since Bitcoins climbed and was trying to stay above the $5300 mark but not only were they successful at doing this but it had that crazy upwave going from $5290 all the way to $5778 breaking record and it did it again the follwing day by reaching $5793. Of course after it went down abit, not too badly only to $5633. But Bitcoins still didn't stop there as yesterday it beat another record going to $5818 it went down since then a downwave today to $5579 but also recovered from it already so they are sitting around $5732. Steem is trying to make it back to $0.40 well.. actually make it $0.35. Steem and it's overall ranking position is around #56 amongst all the other cryptos. As you know we beat the January high marking our highest value at $0.55. These past few days Steem as been presenting themselves with various good opportunities to buy-in since the 24th, we thought it would go back to $0.42 as not long ago it hit the $0.45 mark. But the last few days Steem ended up falling to $0.33. And for today we started slightly lower at $0.32 it soon went to $0.33 at ⏰00.40 and back to $0.32. Steem done this for most of the first half of the day jumping between 32 and 33 until ⏰12.45 where it got a hold of $0.33 and it's where it remains. Anyway if nothing much will happen for Steem in 2019 which is slowly looking more doubtful then I hope those who are still in the game will take the opportunity to keep collecting because right now we are in a seriously good place to grow our accounts remember as the price goes up higher collecting actual Steem becomes more difficult. But Steem is doing so much better then you may realise in BTC value Steem is on its way to make possibly a new all-time low but if you look back and have been here as long as me the lowest Steem has ever been was at $5800 BTC which was way back in March 2017 if you look now we are somewhere around the $6250 mark correct..so last time at $5800 BTC Steem was worth $0.07 but now around 6250 BTC it's still worth $0.34! As for the SPUD initiative.. no not potatoes but (Steem Power Up Day) there was around 980 accounts who powered up a total of 145,430 Steem compared to the average power up per-day of 106,300 Steem, this means some of you are now new dolphins in town, so with myself included in the dolphin count it means we have now a total of 2000 dolphins!! Also things are going just as I thought they would as whales used to own about %86 of all shares on the system and while today would you believe that they only own %55! While this may seem like horrid news it really is not! Because if we look at Dolphins we owned only %4 just over 2 years ago and now we own %13. No longer in survival mode the conclusion from all this is to continue cutting costs Hivemind is live the "steemd" instance size's went from 488GB RAM to 61GB RAM! Focus is on a multi index RocksDB adapter which is a new technology to allow the Steem blockchain nodes to store almost all of it's necessary data to a disk in a modern database instead of RAM the move will make nodes cheaper. Ned said that the cost reduction progress will still remain above the creation of SMT's which I feel is the right move. If you have returned recently to Steemit please be aware that there as been a wallet split to your account so please have your keys backed-up, yes ALL of them and don't use your masterkey to log into Steemit.com instead use your posting key, remember that when you click on your wallet you will be directed to a completely different website which should be "steemitwallet.com" please dont worry as this website is safe and part of Steemit.com. Also yes from now on both logged in and non-logged in users will now see adds on Steemit.com. For SBD's they broke record March 13th reaching $1.41. Currently SBD's are at a "normal" pegged rate, which isn't shifting but still it's better than it was at $0.91 and considering how much Steem dropped the results aren't bad. SBD's started yesterday at $0.98 which sounds good but they were already on a downhill and so SBD's stayed at $0.96 with two falls to $0.95, the last one being at ⏰14.35 but today we start at $0.95. SBD's started climbing at ⏰01.00 going to $0.96 and $0.97 at ⏰01.20, but being so early it fell. SBD's went down to $0.94 as you can imagine the lowest for today, it started to recover at ⏰04.10 going back to $0.95 it took until ⏰10.50 for it to reach $0.96 and then it got to where it fell from, $0.97 at ⏰16.50.
