Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 6/2/2019 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 6/2/2019

Should you be trading with Steem today..

It's February already what happened to the first month? It seems that when it comes to the Steem INC power downs Ned said there will be a cap on how far they go with it, which is what I expected to happen, and while this is a big relief for many Steemians it's a huge disappointment for those who wanted to buy-in at cheaper prices, but that is not to say you might not still get a chance for Steem's price to go lower as powerdowns are still going on. As for Bitcoin's part it was interesting how the previous fall's show Steem being barely affected, but now that seems to be catching-up along with the news of some other exchange problems leading-up to this now lower Steem price from it's January high of $0.43. Today we also have our first real February Bitcoin downwave they had been hanging around $3415 since the 1st of the month and now we see Bitcoins go from $3433 down to $3355 the downwave happened at around ⏰01.05. Still Steem did start this February in a better position than when we started the new year, well just.. but now we are getting into the same position as January. Yesterday at ⏰00.15 Steem was back at $0.28 and at that time it was pretty much already on the downward wagon by around ⏰04.00 Steem had already reached it's bottom for the rest of the day which was $0.27 and so today we started at $0.27 as Steem still had not moved. Regardless if your a buyer today was easy as Steem by that time most people were awake and was already good for the taking, Steem fell to $0.26 at ⏰01.25 the only time it would of cost you more would of been likely from ⏰12.20 and ⏰14.05 where Steem started hitting $0.27 again but after that it was pretty much safe to keep buying. Remember you can still take some risk on waiting for the possibly that one of Steemit INC's powerdowns will lower the price enough to buy Steem cheaper, but be weary of this as there is no longer the need to panic as Steemit INC will be capping their powerdowns as now we know how Steemit-INC are handling this move. This whole thing was important because that account held around 44 million Steem. If nothing much happens in 2019 then I hope those who are in the game will take the opportunity to keep collecting Steem especially if the Steemit account continues to power down a little further. Steem at these low prices and with the Steem power-downs it places us on a survival mode era basically Bitcoin dropped drastically forcing Steem's value to tank causing Steem-INC staff reductions, a possible threat to the website and the Steemit's account security. The conclusion is to cut down the costs of nodes. Hivemind is now live the "steemd" instance size's went from 488GB RAM to now shockingly 61GB RAM! Focus is on a multi index RocksDB adapter which is a new technology in development to allow the Steem blockchain nodes to store almost all of it's necessary data to a disk in a modern database instead of RAM, this move will make nodes cheaper. Ned also said that the cost reduction progress will still remain above the creation of SMT's which I feel is the right move. Also nodes continue to run well on hivemind and which it was only made possible thanks to AppBase. For SBD's we saw them hit the $0.90 mark... well just, as it happened very briefly before ⏰01.00. And yes we started at $0.89 yesterday which was no surprise as the last few days SBD's kept going back to $0.89 even at $0.92, but SBD's continued to fall, this was mostly at ⏰05.55 where they went to $0.85. And so today there was no question we wouldn't see $0.92 and at first the day started like yesterday with SBD's jumping from $0.85 to $0.86 but we next had a downbump pushing them down to $0.83 we recovered only once to $0.86 around ⏰04.35 but with Steem also falling it was no surprise to see SBD's not hold and eventually fall to $0.84 after many bumps.
