Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 5/7/2023.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 6 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 5/7/2023.

July 2023 marks us past the halfway of this year, the Government is doing trials on universal basic income schemes. This isn't the UBI for those who don't have jobs but it means everybody will get this wage. UBI as been in the works for many years some think this will solve many problems while others believe it will cause more of them, it could also very well destroy the value of any currency who takes this scheme up. As for Steem we previously had a big fall that took it down to $0.14 and with such a fall this helped us with collecting more Steem for our main goal this year. In 2023 what we are aiming for is to finally reach Orca or in other words this means holding a total of 50k Steem Power, this as so far been a 6 year project. Also if you want Steem to be a success or just looking to earn more you should vote mostly on those who do not power down. Powering down lowers the value of Steem, meaning it lowers the value of your investment or the Steem that you earn from posting. My account is a example as one of the very few on here who is not powering down rewards. I also buy into Steem often, your votes encourage me to keep on buying even more so keep them coming as buying also helps rise the price of Steem. By voting on these posts we try to protect and raise the price of Steem, we also plan to use this to buy even more when the price goes up. During the bitcoin downwave from 60k it also sadly took down the value of SBD's, however SBD's have done a excellent job at holding around that important $3 mark for many months. My hope is that SBD's will once again secure this value for when Steem does eventually go back up again. As for Steemit the Team they are having better results with smaller curation teams, around 4 or 5 people per team. This means there is less room for curator positions and so competition to apply as been tougher, however it's said that the rewards will be greater. Tron as been once again not appearing in our wallets it looks like a general issue but it's probably connected to the fact that TRX will once again be reduced going from the ratio of 1 Steem to 0.25 TRX or in other words meaning that will be 0.25 TRX for every 1 Steem Power earned. Not going to lie I feel this kind of sucks I'm wondering now if they will continue to lower it until it will be zero. The cost of living is spiralling upwards the reasoning said for all these high prices is the war in the Ukraine, guess we must be literally getting almost every single thing from 2 very specific countries. The on-going war is a terrible moment in our history, they attack, strike up fear, call-out threats and cast sadness into the lives of many. A war that if we are not too careful could just be what spells the beginning of the end. Best keep an eye on those politicians and refuse war at all costs, as continued provocation is on-going "we do NOT want WW3" but perhaps to stop that it may be already much too late.

I slept well all night and this morning I didn't wake-up before my alarm this didn't surprise me too much as I was tired from the long shift yesterday. As for the morning weather there seemed to be a lot of sunshine like it was trying to return back to it's summer theme, however the sun felt mostly weak and darker clouds began to make their way above us. Since we had a lot of rain yesterday I guessed the same might happen today but I did think it would probably clear giving us a sunny day. Once I began with the day I got started with doing some chores, and I lastly I went on Steemit. When my free time was up I went for a quick breakfast before changing and then heading out to work. My hayfever started on Thursday June 8th I have so far had 3 bad experiences this year. June 25th it was the worst so far it was severe enough that it took me a few days to recover from it. Mostly it was my eyes that were the most affected but later it began to be my breathing which I think even felt a bit more like asthma, even today I still feel it slightly. But making my way to work there seemed to be less sun and darker clouds brewing I also bumped into a colleague who I thought had just finished but instead she was on her way back from getting her nails done. Arriving at work I checked to see if I was doing the usual and also looked at the brief which the superiors have not hidden in the office so they can check on who is keeping up to date with it. They have a secret check list under it to mark who is doing this I just hope they marked my name as done because they did see me go in there to read it but I never saw any of them mark down anything. Out from the office I saw a colleague who is not normally in the area I asked him how the meeting when with he's friend, this was me being sarcastic as the friend I was referring to was the big boss who was suppose to visit us this morning. I saw suppose because my colleague informed me that in the end the boss hadn't came to see us yet. This ha me worried because it means he would be coming in soon just as I arrived. I did eventually came and visit us and unfortunately by the time he got there I was still stuck there for another few hours. Luckily after all that he visited us for like 15 minutes before getting a picture with the team and driving off in he's flashy car. That's all I see this guy mostly doing going to different sites posing for pictures and on to the next one. I won't complain as I'm glad it was a sort visit meaning nobody got caught doing anything wrong. Since there was no extra work I spent most of my time trying to get more of the weekly task completed, I felt like I could of done more today but it just wasn't happening. Not a difficult task but still one I'm not sure if I can get it completed for the week, however I feel this was more of a task that they expected to be done for when the big boss man visits. After escaping work on my way out I was surprised to see that it looked like it was raining, one of my colleagues suggested I take a umbrella but I didn't think it could be raining that much. When I got out there it wasn't raining much but as I made my way home it did start to fall a little more but not to the point that I was worried. I spoke to my father and I'm a little annoyed to hear of all the things I need to bring now to organise a few family matter. Initially it was all very simple but now there are many things needed and my time is getting limited even if it is only happening in mid august, I just hope for no more surprises and that I can get all the required documents on time.
