Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 31/8/2020.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and changes for over 3 years.

I also want to mention incase your wondering that when something changes from the regular " Steem Price Update Posts" that we do occasionally change their format from time to time.

But regardless of the changes made we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem.
If your sick at looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just take one look at the average daily price here for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price change for 31/8/2020.

Ok crew we are back, but only for a while, thanks to everybody for the support thus far as we are heading further towards our goal. It's almost September and so another Steem Power Up Day will be due soon, why not give it a try? Let's get supporting our favourite platform of ours and invest some cold hard STEEM. August marked the beginning of Season 2 for the Steemit Diary game which I have already wrote in my entries for, you can check it out if you fancy having a chance of winning one upvote from one of the Steem Curator accounts. The Diary Game contest I will probably discuss later when we come back from season 2 with some of my thoughts and ideas behind it's plan. Some of you maybe wondering what happened to that 23M Steem? From what I understand it's still locked away in the exchange. The good news is Steem as not been removed from it's listing's thank goodness. All the drama just needs to stop but atleast lately thing's have been calmer and hopefully the focus will be on our collective efforts rather than who is stirring the pot. We will just have to wait and see what will happen and what will Bittrex do after being thrown into such a difficult situation. 💖In better news we have reached "💛DOUBLE DOLPHIN💛" with our POWER now at over 💕10000 SP!! And with that we will continue to collect and lock-up even more STEEM POWER! Speaking of getting things running again let's see if all this covid19 madness gets any better, many places seem to of had their 2nd mini waves and even 3rd waves etc and then suddenly everything is normal again etc then repeat.. so what exactly is going on? Who knows but as for us we still continue in a kind of lockdown, I won deny that I have enjoyed that there are less people in the crowded areas as they are tacking more per-cautions but also sadly many have lost their lives. As for me I have worked all during this crisis as our company used a loophole within the system to keep us all working. We were not pleased by this move, as it was infuriating that we continued to put not only our own lives at risk but the lives of our family members for the sake of their company profits. The company denied that the idea had anything to do with making a profit but rather it was a action to keep people's morals flowing. We would of preferred to see the company paying us atleast some extra during this tough period. Instead they simply forced us to work or face losing our jobs and this was despite our government stating that all non-essential work places needed to be shutdown. And so it's amazing that I have still read so many are still just returning to work, but when will it all end?🌍 Still we might have to wait on Mr Bill Gates🌍 to create a vaccine that as barely been tested before we can fully put an end to all this social distancing.. while I'm not too bothered with social distancing I rather not have that vaccine. Schools still continue to fight with the government about fully re-opening as teachers are scared of having too many children in one place as it almost guarantees the spread of the virus. Anyway the focus continues on with "New Steemit INC" and their now new"1000 days of Steem" after their initial success of the "100 Days Of Steem Announcements". This as now became motivating for many Steemians by offering possible wins in the form of a large upvotes from the SteemitTeam as Justin said he would continue working to make STEEM a success. Many millions of STEEM remain held by the Steemit INC accounts, they hold a huge amount of Power, anything those accounts do will eat a big chuck of the rewards and its mostly drawing Steem mostly into one place. Some could argue that this makes it potentially more risky to invest into STEEM, which I guess depends if in the end Steemit INC decides to sell some of their stake or not. But also the sell out could be a good thing, if people actually want that Steem, it would mean power could be slightly better distributed still I feel the current price is good for those wanting to earn more by purchasing Steem. But still this is perhaps a demonstrated that Steem atleast for now is still unfortunately not as decentralised as what some of us would of hoped for, but I think it's still steps ahead 💛 of our current day capitalism.

Many had rightly predicted that the Steem price would rise back in February, this seemed on track to happen regardless of the move from Steemit INC being sold over. The problem is since that rise not much as changed over the months. It went down since then yes but even now with a rise upwards it as not quiet reached the full high's of Februaries price. Still what as remained positive here is so far the price as remained very steady which is a great thing to have, plus it's still at a great price to power up your account cheaply. If you are under 10000 SP you might want to consider getting some to speed up your account's Steem accumulation. While the price rise that we had recently was only a small bump those with some SP behind their accounts noticed a difference in benefits for having some skin in the game.

My goal🌍 now is to reach 15.000 SP💛, hopefully before the end of this year, I mentioned before that it probably wouldn't happen but since getting a few more whale upvotes here and there that goal might just be possible. If not I reckon it could be close, regardless it will still be fun trying to get there over the next few months. I have been on here for over 3 years and have never powered down once and continue to invest small quantities, meaning your votes are safe with me and help retain Steem's value. We totalled 7.841 SP at the end of 2019 and reached 10.000 on May 11th so if you want to help me in finishing this quest in reaching our goal to lock away 15.000 Steem Power and retain more of Steem's value please consider leaving your best vote below.

In 2020 Steem's lowest was already better than in 2019 but due to the crazy events that took place on Steemit it seems like we actually had it good back then as we saw a nasty fall to it's lowest in a long time as Steem fell to $0.09. But that was followed by a mystery spike of STEEM which unfortunately didn't last long, this was on March 19th when Steem reached $0.40💛! It would of made me very happy if it had remained at that price but still STEEM as remained above $0.17 since May and looks to be holding nicely steady between $0.18 and $0.21.

This means it still leaves in 2020 the current price of Steem nicely cheap to buy-in a good amount of Power for your account, especially to those who can see it's potential benefits or to those who want to have fun with having more SP, just be aware this is not financial advice to make you money it's to simply have fun and enjoy the site the best you can but at of course with a great price entry.

Anyway as for Bitcoins it was nice to see it more recently reach $10000 at the beginning of June, if you remember it was only on March 13th the we saw a huge Bitcoins downwave to $4225! But now on July 26th it hit 💚$10000 again.🌍Bitcoins had been going slowly upwards despite the covid19 virus but it's now been a good few months since it's continued going up but the good news is it's been relatively stable. As for the SBD's we had not seen $1.00 worth of SBD's since Jun 28th in 2019 but finally on Feb 13th we hit $1.00, we can't deny SBD's had been doing relatively well since getting past that Bitcoin drop we even saw them going up to $1.24 on March 19th but lately it's remained more stable around the $1.00 mark where it should be. Since April 3rd SBD's have been holding-up really well and are said to continue to do so for a good while.

TRON Owns Steemit INC.

With the original Steemit development team mostly all quitting what would happen to all the hard work already completed towards bringing out SMT's? From what we can tell SMT's are still going to be in the works and released in the future sometime. If your still curious about the benefits of SMT's the whitepaper is still the most authoritative reference for understanding what they can do for us. As of right now alot of extra Steem is floating around because of the initial SBD conversions plus many users sold their stake and moved to a sister blockchain.

🌍If your a business or interested in marketing and finding a community of active users 💚 thanks to this wonderful platform you can do just that and all for free, but it is advised by many to purchase some initial STEEM Power as this will gain you more trust and viewer-visibility withing the STEEM eco system and right now the price is still cheap.
