Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 26/1/2019 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 26/1/2019

Should you be trading with Steem today..

We have to continue to remember that there's a possibility that Steem might fall back down much lower than it's January high at $0.43 due to Steemit INC powerdowns. As for Bitcoins part Jan 20th was our most recent Bitcoin downwave which was not expected from the recovery upbump, but what's interesting about this fall was how Steem was barely affected. Even today we still haven't fully seen the affects of it, and Steem remains above $0.30 if you remember the last time we were this low the Steem's price was under the $0.30 mark. Bitcoin's high was at $4075 and it fell to $3491 the 3rd downwave as now recovered into about %40 of the fall range from the 2nd Bitcoin downwave. Steem falls again today there was a high possibility of some recovery today but it wouldn't be surprising either if it continued downward and already some took advantage of Steem at $0.35 those who did could of waited till longer to get a even better deal on their Steem. Yes Steem spent most of the day at $0.35 from the very beginning till ⏰13.50 Steem did not move, it was only then it began to fall so I can see why many brought into low competition, anyway it fell to $0.33 by ⏰14.30. It's definitely giving buyers who regret not getting more something to be very happy about especially after seeing how just 10 cents was making such a difference or was this change down to SBD's going up? Hmm something to think about. Regardless if we could keep Steem around the $0.40 mark we can get out of this survival mode soon. If your a buyer it's a tough decision to make right now either buy before the price goes up further or take a risk in waiting on possibly one of the biggest opportunities to buy Steem as the Steemit account is powering down, PANIC mode is ON! Let's not.. This whole thing is important because that account holds around 44 million Steem! If the powerdown's don't stop in 13 weeks all that Steem will be tokenized meaning the price of Steem will drop by ALOT. While this means the end of days for some we still don't know how exactly Steem-INC are handling this move but I feel this Steem will probably go into other accounts and therefore keeping Steem steady. I don't believe they are running away with the money, it seems they are protecting it due to some threats. If nothing much happens in 2019 then I hope those who are in the game will take the opportunity to keep collecting Steem especially if the Steemit account continues to power down. You should know that Steem at these low prices and with the Steem power-downs it places us on a survival mode era basically Bitcoin dropped drastically forcing Steem's value to tank causing Steem-INC staff reductions, a possible threat to the website and the Steemit account security. The conclusion is to cut down the costs of nodes. Hivemind is now live the "steemd" instance size's went from 488GB RAM to now shockingly 61GB RAM! Focus is on a multi index RocksDB adapter which is a new technology in development to allow the Steem blockchain nodes to store almost all of it's necessary data to a disk in a modern database instead of RAM, this move will make nodes cheaper. I also want to point out that we are indeed nearly out of this whole survival mode situation. Ned also said recently that the cost reduction progress will still remain above the creation of SMT's which I feel is the right move. SBD's are where they should be you probably noticed that there is little STEEM to be earned now but instead we are receiving more SBD's which mean's things have got better. Today SBD's have been pretty bumpy they started at $0.92 which is a little disappointing after it reached $0.96 but we cant complain seeing as Steem is going down, anyway it's highest was $0.94 at ⏰08.05, and also right now... as SBD's fell again to $0.92 by ⏰15.50.
