Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 25/4/2019 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your wondering when perhaps something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do occasionally change it's format from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as it's important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 25/4/2019

Should you be trading with Steem today...?

March 10th Steem reached it's highest so far for the year at $0.55 along with SBD's which also had a breaker on March 13th with it's highest being $1.41. With Bitcoins they have recently been holding above the $5200 mark, the highest for Bitcoins near the latest upwave was $5596. Yesterday Bitcoins had a downwave but was still holding pretty well at around $5410 but from there today it held it for most of the day until not too long ago it downwaved again to $5100 almost seems like bitcoins is chasing Steem's trend. For Steem they have been trying to hold above the $0.40 mark after falling from $0.50 and they seemed to have been doing a pretty good job of it for a good while but right now that doesn't seem to be going too well. As Steem and it's overall ranking position is around #53 amongst all the other cryptos. As you know we beat the January high marking our highest value at $0.55. The past few days Steem as been presenting themselves with various good opportunities to buy-in and I believed it was on the 11th that was the best day well scrap that because yesterday and now today were definitely the better times to buy and was not expected. The original drop in Steem was expected to hold at $0.46 that failed as it was holding at $0.42 mostly and later holding at $0.40 well just about. We thought it would go back to $0.42 eventually but nope. We haven't been down for too long it was only 5 days ago that Steem managed the $0.45 mark, yesterday ⏰12.20 the lowest for the day $0.35, now we started at $0.36 saw a bump at ⏰02.10 to $0.37 but moved back to $0.36 and then $0.35 at ⏰08.15 until recovery at ⏰11:10 taking it to $0.37 which lasted until recently as it's dropping to $0.34. Anyway if nothing much will happen for Steem in 2019 which is slowly looking more doubtful then I hope those who are still in the game will take the opportunity to keep collecting because right now we are in a seriously good place to grow our accounts remember as the price goes up higher collecting actual Steem becomes more difficult. I also want to make it clear that I was apparently wrong in pulling the trigger too fast that we was out of survival mode, it seems according to Steem INC they still found themselves to be in survival mode but now we are officially crawling out. But longer in survival mode the conclusion from all this is to continue cutting of the costs of nodes. Hivemind is now live the "steemd" instance size's went from 488GB RAM to now shockingly 61GB RAM! Focus is on a multi index RocksDB adapter which is a new technology in development to allow the Steem blockchain nodes to store almost all of it's necessary data to a disk in a modern database instead of RAM, this move will make nodes cheaper. Ned also said that the cost reduction progress will still remain above the creation of SMT's which I feel is the right move. Did you know that after the wallet split from steemit.com is complete that both logged in and non-logged in users will see the adds on Steemit.com, I would rather not but understand this is part of keeping us out of survival mode if that was to happen again. It's also come to my attention people are still learning about the wallet split and feel this will continue to be a problem for a while so please have your keys backed-up, yes ALL of them and dont use your masterkey to log into Steemit.com, also when you click on your wallet yes you will be directed to a completely different website which should be "steemitwallet.com" please dont worry as this website is safe and part of Steemit.com. After your initial log-in you wont need to use your masterkey and so if you still don't understand how your private keys work or are relatively new to Steemit you can go to the Steemitblog account for a more recent official explanation. For SBD's they broke record March 13th reaching $1.41. Currently SBD's are at a "normal" pegged rate, which doesn't seem like it will shift, SBD's were staying above the $1.00 mark with bitcoin's help only 5 days ago. Yesterday SBD's started at $0.96 today beginning at $0.95 but already on a slope which took SBD's down to $0.92 to at ⏰03.45 with one more drop at ⏰07.10 going to $0.91. After that SBD's started to recover at ⏰08.25 jumping to $0.94 and jumping between $0.93 until ⏰18.05 when it managed to hold on to $0.94, SBD's did get to $0.95 but not long ago fell again and now they are on around $0.92.
