Good day Steemian and welcome to today's Steem price update for 2/5/2023.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and recent STEEM changes for over 6 years.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planning to do anything with your STEEM I still recommend checking out these updates every so often.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price for 2/5/2023.

May 2023 There seems to be a lot of movement from authorities in preventing those interested or wanting to take part in crypto "it's too volatile and dangerous" that's the excuse from the nanny state. As for Steem we previously had a big fall that took it down to $0.14 and with such a fall this helped us with collecting more Steem for our main goal this year. In 2023 what we are aiming for is to finally reach Orca or in other words this means holding a total of 50k Steem Power. Also if you want Steem to be a success or just to earn more on here you should vote mostly on those who do not power down. Powering down lowers the value of Steem, meaning it lowers the value of your investment, your Steem. My account is a example as one of the very few on here who is not powering down rewards. I also buy into Steem often, your votes encourage me to keep buying even more so keep them coming. By voting on these posts we try to protect and rise the price of Steem we also plan to use this to buy even more when the price rises. During the bitcoin downwave from 60k this sadly took also down the value of SBD's, however SBD's have done a excellent job at holding around that important $3 mark for many months. My hope is that SBD's will once again secure this value for when Steem does eventually go back up again. As for Steemit in the Team is trying something different, they are experimenting with smaller curation teams, around 4 or 5 people per team. This means there is less room for curator positions and so competition to apply was tougher, however it's said that rewards will be greater. Tron as been appearing correctly in our wallets, however the earned TRX rewards appear less often, it can take 2 or 3 days, sometimes even longer but at least we are getting them. The cost of living is spiralling upwards the reasoning said for all these high prices is the war in Ukraine, guess we must be literally getting almost every single thing from 2 very specific countries. The on-going war is a terrible moment in our history, they attack, strike up fear, call-out threats and cast sadness into the lives of many. A war that if we are not too careful could just be what spells the beginning of the end. Best keep an eye on those politicians and refuse war at all costs, as continued provocation is on-going "we do NOT want WW3" but perhaps to stop that it may be already much too late.

Last night I went to sleep just slightly earlier than the usual late hour, I slept well during the night, but unlike most mornings lately I slept until my alarm. Unfortunately for whatever reason I felt like I could rest for much longer and so it was a struggle to start the day lol. When I did finally get up it was one of the latest starts I have had in a good while. This is a shame as I had one extra hour this morning before having to go to work and I spent most of it resting, well some would argue that would be the best way of spending that extra time but I like to be busy. I didn't feel the temperature to be cold but I do think maybe the heating came on this morning, there was definitely a temperature drop last night but not enough to put on a extra layer before bed. It was mostly another cloudy morning like yesterday, except the sun was trying much harder to show it's face, so perhaps and I hoped for it to get warmer later. I started with doing chores, logging on Steemit and once my free time was up I went for a quick breakfast and changed for work. As I made my way to work it was a littler brighter but the wind was surprisingly chilly. When I got to work I was doing the usual and was glad to see like I suspected there would be no extra work for later. However there was extra jobs just about, I say that because I reckon if it was not for this one guy keeping check over the system there would be no need for me to get it done. But some people are just that bored as the superiors check the system earlier and said the work had not been uploaded and since they were in a meeting most likely they would be to distracted with their after tasks to even bother checking the system for a update. Lol so yes because of this guy I was kept busier than I should be. One more bill left to pay which was finally was the bill my friend was so furious about and while it is much more costly than usual I'm still glad I managed to make it so much cheaper than what my friend payed. I noticed that the battery from my phone kept depleting faster these past few days, the back of the phone near the battery kept feeling slightly warmer. Like something working in the background, but there was nothing active. I checked it over many times with no indication of anything. I decided to switched it off for a while and turning it back on again in the hopes that if there was something this would stop it. Since doing this the phone didn't feel as warm and that the battery was preserving power much more effectively. Guess there was something working in the background, it just annoys me there was no indication of what it was doing to be using so much power. As for the event tickets I managed to get them, just waiting on one more friend who is severely behind on purchasing them.
