Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 2/4/2019 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your wondering when perhaps something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do occasionally change it's format from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as it's important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 2/4/2019

Should you be trading with Steem today...?

Want to say thank you, and to everybody else who gave their support on getting us to dolphin we achieved this after 30 months! I'm sure once the price goes up higher it will be more beneficial to us all. Now then on March 10th we have seen Steem reach it's highest for the year $0.55 along with SBD's which also had a breaker on March 13th with it's highest being $1.41. With Bitcoins 6 days ago it fell further down then the usual bumps seen, but this time around going under the $3870 line. the last 4 days Bitcoins as managed to stay above $4000 and as stayed near to $4100. Infact bitcoin's as now being going upwards for a week and today we had a crazy upwave, taking Bitcoins from $4127 to $4885!... right now it's around $4800. With Steem as you know we beat the January high now making our peak $0.55. We was holding nicely above $0.45 for a while but we fell just under and as for the previous 2 days we have been right on $0.45, our ranking position is around #47 amongst all the other cryptos. Bitcoin as been recovering I mentioned just yesterday I expected a rise and here we are this should force Steem upwards. Today Steem continued with the jumping between $0.44 and $0.45 this carried on until ⏰05.30 giving the impression that regardless of the Bitcoin movement Steem was strangely stuck. But we got 2 main upbumps at the time to $0.46 until ⏰06.05 taking Steem back to $0.44 which again surely would not continue the $0.44 and $0.45 battle. Well it took till ⏰08.35 for Steem to hold $0.46 from there it continued very slowly upwards when at ⏰13.40 it reached $0.47 the highest for today. Steem did fall once more to $0.46 but we seem to be holding on $0.47 for now. Anyway if it's true that not too much will happen in 2019 then I hope those who are still in the game will take the opportunity to keep collecting Steem. I also want to make it clear that I was apparently wrong in pulling the trigger too fast that we was out of survival mode, it seems according to Steem INC they still found themselves to be in survival mode but now we are officially crawling out. But longer in survival mode the conclusion from all this is to continue cutting of the costs of nodes. Hivemind is now live the "steemd" instance size's went from 488GB RAM to now shockingly 61GB RAM! Focus is on a multi index RocksDB adapter which is a new technology in development to allow the Steem blockchain nodes to store almost all of it's necessary data to a disk in a modern database instead of RAM, this move will make nodes cheaper. Ned also said that the cost reduction progress will still remain above the creation of SMT's which I feel is the right move. Did you know that after the wallet split from steemit.com is complete that both logged in and non-logged in users will see the adds on Steemit.com, I would rather not but understand this is part of keeping us out of survival mode if it was to happen again. Steem is also available for trading on the Huobi marketplace so if you are a U.S. resident just go to huobi.com, if you are anywhere else you could try Huobi global at hbg.com. Also if you still don't understand how your private keys work or are relatively new to Steemit you can go to the Steemitblog account for a more recent official explanation. For SBD's they broke record March 13th reaching $1.41. Currently SBD's are at a "normal" pegged rate, but very pleased to see us above the $1.00 mark. SBD's started at $0.99 today and stayed steady between $0.98 and $0.99 until ⏰04.45 when it fell to $0.97 briefly. At ⏰05.45 when Steem had it's 2 bumps it pushed SBD's to the $1.00 mark, but SBD's rather then 2 had 3 upbumps, the first taking it to $1.00 the other to $1.01 and the third to $1.02. It didn't hold and fell at ⏰06.40 to $0.98 but from ⏰07.20 it started recovering back to $1.02 where it's staying for now, we also hit $1.03 at ⏰14.40 until ⏰15.15.
