Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 10/4/2019 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your wondering when perhaps something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do occasionally change it's format from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as it's important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 10/4/2019

Should you be trading with Steem today...?

We reached dolphin after 30 months I'm sure once the price goes up higher it will be more beneficial to us all. Now then on March 10th we have seen Steem reach it's highest for the year at $0.55 along with SBD's which also had a breaker on March 13th with it's highest being $1.41. With Bitcoins around 8 days ago we had a upwave going from $4127 to $4885, while it paused for a while it didn't stop there with them reaching the $5000 mark later on the same day. The highest for Bitcoins also achieved on that same day was $5317! We had another downwave which took them back to $4872 but now we are nicely above the $5100 mark and today doing well just above $5300. For Steem we seem to be trying to hold around the $0.50 mark lately as we began rising again, our ranking position is around #50 amongst all the other cryptos. As you know we beat the January high marking our highest at $0.55 which we were close again to beating. The past 2 days presented 2 small opportunities to buy-in cheaper, one having to be very quick while the other lasting a few hours to snag-up that cheaper Steem deal. With today the opportunity is here right now to buy unless it goes down any lower. We started today at $0.48 and it was pretty much one of those solid days the only lower price is right now at $0.47, and the only other real change was seeing Steem bump-up a few times to $0.49 at firstly ⏰03.30, the next bump was at ⏰07.30 and the third which had multiple upbumps between ⏰12.50 to ⏰15.05. Anyway if nothing much will happen for Steem in 2019 which is slowly looking more doubtful then I hope those who are still in the game will take the opportunity to keep collecting because right now we are in a seriously good place to grow our accounts remember as the price goes up higher collecting actual Steem becomes more difficult. I also want to make it clear that I was apparently wrong in pulling the trigger too fast that we was out of survival mode, it seems according to Steem INC they still found themselves to be in survival mode but now we are officially crawling out. But longer in survival mode the conclusion from all this is to continue cutting of the costs of nodes. Hivemind is now live the "steemd" instance size's went from 488GB RAM to now shockingly 61GB RAM! Focus is on a multi index RocksDB adapter which is a new technology in development to allow the Steem blockchain nodes to store almost all of it's necessary data to a disk in a modern database instead of RAM, this move will make nodes cheaper. Ned also said that the cost reduction progress will still remain above the creation of SMT's which I feel is the right move. Did you know that after the wallet split from steemit.com is complete that both logged in and non-logged in users will see the adds on Steemit.com, I would rather not but understand this is part of keeping us out of survival mode if that was to happen again. It's also come to my attention people are still learning about the wallet split and feel this will continue to be a problem for a while so please have your keys backed-up, yes ALL of them and dont use your masterkey to log into Steemit.com, also when you click on your wallet yes you will be directed to a completely different website which should be "steemitwallet.com" please dont worry as this website is safe and part of Steemit.com. After your initial log-in you wont need to use your masterkey and so if you still don't understand how your private keys work or are relatively new to Steemit you can go to the Steemitblog account for a more recent official explanation. For SBD's they broke record March 13th reaching $1.41. Currently SBD's are at a "normal" pegged rate, regardless of SBD's being back on a normal rate "yuck" they actually done not so bad, I mean we started above at $1.05 which could of been better but it was a decent start. That is until ⏰02.20 with SBD's dropping to $1.04 not much later it dropped to the lowest of today which is where we are now also at $1.03. But it didn't take long for things to get better at ⏰04.50 it started to recover to $1.04 we also saw alot of $1.05, from ⏰10.50 we hit $1.06 for the first time today. It dropped back down after about 40 minutes and we only saw it later at ⏰19.40 before the fall back to $1.03.
