Ya, steemit is absolutely exploding right now! Lucky to be witnessing this first hand :)
Anyways, this explosion is the very reason why new signups to Steemit had to be stopped for the moment. Hope people are able to join soon!

And they DID REALLY pause signups. I logged out and tried to signup again. And there was a message saying "Signups are currently paused due to our unexpectedly high sign up rate. Submit your email to the waiting list to be notified when signups are re-opened."
Sooooo, yeah! We are the lucky ones who got in early before a wave of a HUGE number of people will flood in!
